Good day folks.

Can I ask about good portable modems that are usable for the digi i150?

I'm planning to get another line (my main line is for my phone, just that this new one, I plan to use as a broadband?)

I want to get a mifi that works inside the house and also when I travel daily.

There are 2 concerns / priorities that I need:

1. external antenna friendly (my house has somewhat poor coverage of LTE, that's why. Also balik kampung also same issue, so at least i can plug in and out when i really need the signal?)

2. Removable battery. Now this is probably not so needed, but I just want to know if any modems will work with or without battery, so when I am on the move, I can plug in the battery, and when I'm at home, I can remove the battery and let work on USB / AC after charging it to full, so as to protect the battery (I plan to use the device 24/7). Or don't need to care? Unless there are models that are fine to charge 24/7?

I know that there are great options, but I'm also budget conscious. Any advices would be much appreciated.

Your budget?

i got an offer RM1150 for Netgear Nighthawk M1.

or Netgear 790S/810S combine with Cradle. That 2 price about RM700/RM1000.

You may search this 3 model and decide which model that suit you.

Thanks

Yes, Expensive.

Both 790S & 810S are Mifi by default, and if you want to share the internet at your house, Netgear Cradle is recommended.

If 790S & 810S only, the price around RM330 & RM680.

Netgear M1 Cat16 but many review by Australia Telsta user, this device got battery problem.

Anybody tried to use this in the E5186? Just wondering if it's better or worse than the official antenna coz my area only gets 2 bars most of the time when when moving around.

Ah, thanks for the info. I did see one official Huawei outdoor antenna version but looks like a TV series. If not mistaken I'll need to get a 2 of those due to the 2 and 5 ghz?

Btw, wanna ask regarding your experience in the firmwares, any of those have support for static ip? Thanks a lot smile.gif

May I know your solution to “offline” on Astro-on-the-go? I am having no connection on the app when connecting through DiGi infinite 150, but it works when I connect to Streamyx.
