QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 27 2017, 01:33 AM) I bought from Taobao. Many sellers on Digi Postpaid Infinite Community FB group, you may find from there. ic ic, how much you bought it that time ya?QUOTE(ajoi57 @ Oct 27 2017, 04:06 AM) cool, really itchy hands wanna jump ship to that model already QUOTE(Ngto @ Oct 27 2017, 07:36 AM) Andrew e-store at Garage sale already lowered the price to 750/- with 1yr warranty + got physical store you can visit somewhere in Sunway. As for me still waiting for 525 model. B525 is a more stable unit? I see it sold in lelong at RM850. Any special model need to consider like the s22a or s61a (s23a kot from the article below)?http://www.24article.com/how-to-choose-hua...5-or-e5186.html So far from this article, it mentions the plus point for the B525 is the band lock feature? but being smaller, I wonder if it'll suffer more from heat problems. |

QUOTE(Ngto @ Oct 27 2017, 09:31 AM) I posted that article link earlier. I am also geting my opinion based on articles and comparisons I have read. The 525 is just the newer replacement for the older 5186, the main feature being the band lock feature. I think the 5186 can also do band lock if you know how to flash a replacement fw. ic ic, sorry didn't manage to read through all 200 pages Just like the 5186, the 525 also come in diff variant. Most important get the one that support malaysian CA supported bands, i.e the 23a for the 525 model and the 22a for the 5186model. Seems like not many using the B525 yet? I might consider jumping to the B525 instead as long as it's more stable Edit: QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 27 2017, 09:37 AM) I bought mine in April and pricing was still low that time, unlike now. So my price can't be used as reference. ic ic. Thanks for the info. Would you prefer getting a B525 or E5186 if you still had a choice? This post has been edited by NickedAsy: Oct 27 2017, 09:44 AM |

QUOTE(GhostXY @ Oct 27 2017, 09:54 PM) another B525 user here..so far no heat issue yet..but im not sure why my unit cannot select band through webui..my webui version 21.100.31.00.03. i saw someone post on youtube exactly like my unit but he using webui 17.100.09.00.03 and the ip address also different 192.168.9.1 instead of mine 192.168.8.1..but he can select band by using webui.. Not a Huawei user so I'm not sure yet, but fruitie mentioned to use the Huawei Toolbox to do the band selection. Maybe you can try that? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 28 2017, 05:28 PM) Sorry "man", was on mobile version so couldn't see the gender tag. QUOTE(pia7295 @ Oct 28 2017, 06:14 PM) If you have time to complete reading this 200 over pages forum thread, you will find out E5186 is the only device which user gives the most faulty report. Nope, didn't have the time and I'm just a 2 week old Digi customer haha. So was only reading the last few pages. So your B525 is buttery smooth? |

QUOTE(pia7295 @ Oct 28 2017, 06:41 PM) I'm the victim of E5186. since I subscribe to digi infinite 3 months ago, I have owned 2 units of E5186. both won't last more than 2 weeks. Flashing the firmware also won't help. Sorry to hear you kena twice on the same model, did you try to get rma for it? Maybe you got a bad batch from the same sellerlucky I have Aircard 790 to back me up. I know, A790 is weak. I still need a powerful router . I just come to know B525, would you recommend this device? The B525 so far I'm not seeing any bad reviews. You may try but I would prefer you at least get your warranty for your e5186 or at least a refund if possible before getting the B525 though. Unless you got money to burn 😂 |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 30 2017, 10:50 PM) No adapter will be provided and you gotta find a thin type because it's slot in type, not tray type. If you simply use one and will destroy the pin. Talking from experience, I have destroyed few phones and MiFis that way but luckily managed to get fixer to fix back for me. Managed to find the card These days I will not take risk anymore. Few minutes into the E5186 and I'm starting to love the stronger signal pickup compared to my MR200. But the interface page is kinda simple with not much customizations like static lan and dynamic dns hor? |

Hi E5186-ers, is there a way to put static ip and vpn into the router itself? Is it only by way of flashing another firmware? If yes, which firmware would you all recommend? Thanks much.
