Onkyo is officially dual format and hopes to release a dual format player in the future: and its first HD-DVD player, Onkyo DV-HD805 will be released in this Autumn based on the Toshiba HD-XA2 with tweaked Audio and SD Video features, and DTS HD too >>>> http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/08/14/onkyo...s-fall-for-899/ but price wise....it will kill u big time, and thelatest rumors is Denon will be joining Onkyo on releasing its first HD-DVD player too..hmmm...I thought HD-DVd is dead already????

ADUH..

I mean PS3 can play Blu-Ray dics which is better or about the same with HD DVD. I dun think u need another next gen player..unless u WANT one.

If u can afford it..just be a format-neutral.....u can ejoy the best of both worlds..i always believe both formats can co-exist until the dvd sale is started to cracked down big time...even in US...only small percentage of people r aware of these two formats....

If u want to watch Heroes in Hi-Def u'll need HD-DVD.
Did u guys know that the entire series of the original Star Trek (the one with Captain Kirk) will be released in HD-DVD as well?

Ok rx..since i am in a good mood...here is the link ....Meet the Venture SHD7000 HD DVD player>>>> http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/03/25/meet-...-hd-dvd-player/ which people expect it to be ready to be sold by Wal-Mart at price range of US100-US130.
And why Venture at Walmart, The answer is:
"Greetings

While I was at Walmart recently, I looked at a bunch of there Venturer portable DVD players. It occurred to me that it was also the same Venturer company that was showing a HD DVD player at the German Electronics show a while back. There were photos of this Venturer HD DVD player ..."

Walmart have been selling the DVD players from the same company for years, and there is no doubt that they will carry this model too..at Chritsmas..

So if it comes true...dont tell me that it is not cheap enuff....at RM350-RM420 each, its a blind buy...
