There's quite a number of us with the add-on player including me. If you have a HDTV you'll definitely see an improvement in picture quality over normal DVD. Once you've experience HD movies, you'd never want to go back to normal DVDs thumbup.gif

As for the movies, most of us here buy them from amazon.com since it's much cheaper compared to getting them from local shops. There's one shop in Cineleisure and one in Bangsar Village that is selling those movies.

Bangsar Shopping Center or Bangsar Village? I can't recall any shops in Bangsar Village selling HD-DVD.

Got the HD-DVD player.
Bought superman returns from Fox Video BSC.
Got King Kong and Batman Begins from the shop near hideout.
NExt in line, Ray, Happy Feet, V for Vendetta from amazon.

Too bad it cant play all my region 1 DVDs..sad case.
But the problem is i dont have a HD ready tv..so it sucks but i tested it on my 39inch wega and also my lcd monitor and the details on my PC's monitor was just amazing..cant wait to try it on my R7...2 months countdown!

If it's RM 100 - RM 140 a pop at our local stores, how much would it be if we purchased from Amazon directly? plus shipping.

and what are the tacts to avoid our lovely customs?

For courier shipping add RM30-40 per title. As for kena tax, it depends on your luck really. My last two packages which consists of 6 and 9 titles respectively manage to avoid being taxed. I used DHL. Most people say that keeping the value of the package below RM500 can ensure that your package stays under the Custom's radar.
