Bumi Armada most probably JV with Shaporji Palongi as usual.. On paper, only Bumi Armada have the floater track records compare to SP.

MISC will participate, I don't think they have issue on Financial & manpower.

Yinson most probably participate alone without JV this time.

Not sure how MTC gonna participate without strong fund. 

Project awarded based on Commercial and Technical. This will be on an open tender and will be supervised by PCSB. If you asked Sapura Lumut then of course they want everything but those at Sapura Seri Kembangan will say otherwise. It is depending on the CPP topsides size. Do you know how many Sapura Lumut Yard has done the CPP?

The FPSO's requirement is to process 40k bpd of oil and 150mmscfd of gas, store 60k bpd of liquids, and inject 75k bpd of water. MISC has many tankers of this size but the problem is MISC still wants to maintain the tanker class as a ship. That is their strategy to avoid the vessel from underutilizing.

As Limbayong is in SABAH by right it should go to SIP as FPSO Bukit Tua is available soon. I don't think PETRONAS will give it to Yinson as Yinson won $5.4 billion contracts in Brazil.

I believe MISC resource is good. They are the only Malaysia FPSO company taking the initiative to hire, and they gonna get excellent engineers as many of them are available.

From my understanding from friend in BAB, most of the work been done by SP. Not sure if they treat the new hires under JV level, but another engineer I know is hired under SP (I did not query whether SP or SP JV).

hopefully, misc will get limbayong too, or maybe MTC or Bumi Armada but please not the "Y". i think it is better to award the project to contractor that will hire and  utilize local engineers/resources.

MMHE may not get Jerun EPC, but the next big floatover CPP Lang Lebah may go to them.

Biden policy towards O&G.

Biden, as all known, is a tree lover. He is strong to push renewable agenda, unlike Trump.

Thats why on the first day Biden in the Oval Office, he declare wanted to rejoin Paris Climate Declaration. And he revoked Keystone Xl pipeline projects. I think, ongoing FID for the major LNG projects in the US will be shelved or revoked too - coming soon? Also, do expect incoming news about fracking, mesti kena revoked juga rasanya.

So, expect another four years of "cold" O&G environment, under investment, not enough funding, puts more pressure on O&G development.
