Heard that Total is open to Malaysian contractors bidding for an EPIC job for two small platforms for a project in Denmark.

Apparently Singapore's Sembcorp is also under consideration.

The fields maybe owned by Maersk? Now taken over by total. Mcd did some EPCC project for them and turns out didn't go well.

Chiyoda + Technip Energia won a huge LNG train expansion project at Qatar.

Update CV!

Even though the offshore package likely goes to Italy's Saipem, I still hope for the contract goes to JV Hyundai and Sapura

MTC won a SPM change out job with Petron Port Dickson last year if not mistaken.

I think there is another SPM change out at Brunei Shell Petroleum and Shell Jurong, a lot of contractor eyeing this job.
*
You are correct.. SPM change was done by MTC...

I choose to remain optimistic about the oil price. I suggest you look at the long term oil price movements. The price was moving up last year until Covid19 pandemic hit us and it lost all it gained prior to the pandemic. Demand for oil will increase as businesses are returning. The world economy has no way to go but up, after this pandemic is over.
*
What about new base of demand post covid when some businesses may get used to wfh or digital (less travel), and also everyone is diving towards clean energy that will shift peak oil earlier?

Many refineries are being forced to closed shop even if economy recovers. Note Refinery is a key driver behind oil demand

its artificial since demand is not even back to pre-pandemic level. really depends if OPEC+ can hold the coalition together.

Soon the americans open the tap to the max again, then back to square one.

Sorry for being a party pooper, just that we have seen it crashed twice within 5 years. Twice bitten thrice shy  whistling.gif

Hello all, silent reader here. For jet fuel / green diesel what the market does is to convert old refinery to process used cooking oil, animal fats, palm oil effluents by hydro treating it. Different people have different technology but in the end it is to make newer generation of biodiesel.

Processing it takes more step in the beginning to clean up the feed prior before feeding it to existing retrofitted refineries. From what I see only org puteh countries looking at it.

I remain optimistic of oil&gas business as the world still need energy from fossil fuels. It will be a few decades to go before the so called “renewable energy” can replace fossil fuels as the main source of energy. Not in my life time, me think.

Time will tell.

Overseas recruitment agency. Check my Linkedin timeline.

About the engineering job, I am not sure which Technip Energia will be in charge, either France or KL or Qatar branch.

Since this project execution is a JV consortium, I wonder if Chiyoda KL office still alive? Or Chiyoda-Almana Qatar LLC which be the main focal point?
