You need to understand the T&C of a typical PSC.

Obviously Shell has committed to develop RnM as per the PSC with Petronas. They got the datelines to complete it. So whether Shell is leaving or not, is immaterial.

Anyway, it takes time to find a buyer at this period of time and to complete the entire sale.

Why are you sympathetic with those in Shell who fear of losing their jobs? Those working in Petronas, Exxonmobil, Hess are also in the same boat. There have been many retrenchment of staffs in oil & gas industry in Malaysia. Some of them are driving Grabcar now.

it's all the waiting game....waiting for the so-called right time to set the gas price.

Not good for the next 12-18 months. This is based on the lack of detailed design projects being carried out by local consultants in the second half of the year. No new detailed design projects are expected to be awarded for the rest of the year. New design works to be done next year will only filter to the fabrication yards in 2022. Now the consultants are bracing to keep afloat until end of the year. Similar situation is expected for the fabrication yards next year.

Pray the convid19 pandemic eases out by end of the year so that industries activities (as well as all kinds of business) will pick up and increase the demand of oil globally.

MMHE is not involved in MERO3.

dont wait for any openings in o&g companies, just send in your CV. dont ask me which companies to apply to, you do your own homework. dont be choosy about the companies, just apply for the post you want. If you need to start working with a vendor, oil&gas service provider, fabricators, do it. Pay may be low, but that is the current situation now in 0il&gas now.

MISC is looking high and low for a Chinese fabrication yard for Mero 3.

Just comply 100% with the requirements. If they want us to put in “Bin” in your name, then put it.

Remember, you need the license more than the company need to give you the license.

I wonder whether MISC will put in a bid for Limbayong. Now the company is focusing on MERO 3 floater.

SapuraOMV will award the job to the lowest bidder, full stop. With the current gloomy economy climate and the CAPEX reduction activities carried out by the operators, cost of project is numero uno; i.e. the bottom line is to award the job to the lowest, technically qualified bidder.

Personally I prefer Sapura fabricator to get the job. This is will provide more opportunity for the company to sharpen their experience in fabrication of large CPP. We lost a very good and experienced fabricator, Sime Darby, and Sapura is the natural candidate to fill in Sime's shoes. MMHE needs a competitor with respect to fabrication of large topsides.

Maybe MMHE is aiming for the next floatover CPP, Lang Lebah. FEED Lang Lebah is a much anticipated work by the consultants. Stay tune.
