Seems odd that there are three entities (Bumi Armada, Shapoorji and MTC) jointly bidding for what is ultimately a small-midsize FPSO. Isn’t that a bit overkill?

Also, from what I know MTC was previously prequalified during their joint bid with Shapoorji. Bumi Armada seems to be a new addition to the bid.

MTC won a SPM change out job with Petron Port Dickson last year if not mistaken.

I think there is another SPM change out at Brunei Shell Petroleum and Shell Jurong, a lot of contractor eyeing this job.

They seem to have done a good job to manage the financial and solvency risk. Looks like worst is over.

The ONGC 98/2 fpso is due for first oil either Q4 2021 or Q1 2022.

Excited to see what other large projects they can bag. Misc and Yinson both have been awarded 200k+ bopd projects in Brazil. Shame Bumi Armada couldn’t take part due to their financial position then.

Looks like Bumi Armada is on a comeback path. Future developments will be focused on marginal fields. Also they’re going in to floating gas as well.

I’m just curious, in their partnerships with Shapoorji Pallonji, which company supplies the engineering know how? Which company is technically more competent?
