PS2 games is not region free. NTSC/UC (US and Canada) games can only be play on NTSC/UC console.

So, If I wanna get original games that plays on Malaysia type console..where can I get them?

You can play NTSC U/C game bro provided your PS2 is modded. That is what I am doing. Been actively playing MGS Essential Collections, GOW series, DMC series, Rogue Galaxy on a modded PS2 slim consoles. All disc are original and are NTSC U/C.

I think get ur console mod. Easier for u to get the game from any region. Not talking about pirated games here. U can buy n play original games from any region without worries. U should worries if ur console is NTSC/J (Japan) where most of the NTSC/J games are in Japanese language.

Yup..it will void. U have to send it to local game shop to repair it. I also dont know this...where to claim warranty from Sony for PS2? Is it totally free to repair?

just wanna share and was curious of what i saw in my old fat ps2 (i own a slim after my ps2 fat broke down)....anyone has any ideas of what it is as shown in the picture? i really had no idea it looks like some dvd player or what, i was bored and fiddling wif my ps2... Sorry if this has ben answered b4, but I just failed to find it. I have a fat PS2 (moded). The thing is it can play all the golden discs but not the new coming blue discs. With the blue disc it asks to insert a PlayStation 2 disc. Plus it only works with DVD+R of my backups, not DVD-R. Does any one knows how to play these new blue discs on my fat old PS2, coz there are some really good titles out which I can only find on blue discs, not the gold? I read online some people suggest using Action Replay Max Evo or Swap Magic, but I am not sure if it will really work or not. And what if I copy the game using nero or Alcohol 120 to a DVD+R, will that work.
