Yes you can. I am playing NTSC U/C games on NTSC J console. You need to know how to boot to PS1 disc though which depends very much on the type of modchip that you use.

Not very good at explaining.Free MC Boot is an 'exploit' that allows a user to install it on official 8MB Sony MC's as well as 3rd party cards.Maybe others can help me with better explaination.Here what I do with my fat ps2.



I use ulauchelf,Functions same like windows explorer.Can tranfer file from usb pendrive.Got cut,paste commands...




HDLoader allows to play back-up games from hard disk.



Can watch avi files.Support subtitles

Actually I hentam ajer install the Free MCBoot.First download Free Macboot 1.5. Extract the file and put it in the folder together with ulaunch.elf.Rename the ulaunch to boot.elf.Save all in thumbdrive.My ps2 dont have modchip that support dev1 and dev 2 so I boot ulaunch by cd.Then from ulaunch menu, find the path of your thumbdrive and install the Free MCBoot from there.Press circle if not mistaken to install boot application.Automatically it will save to ur memory card.Dah selesai,turn of ps2.Powerup again and hold R1 button. U will go to ps2 browser.Select Launch Free MCBoot and u will see ulaunch menu. My ps2 now become discless.No longer need cd to play games or watching movies.Can save the lense too

I'm using hdloader 0.8b. Can play PES2008 smoothly.

yup.. all model can use. More better for the fat ps2 that had network adapter and HDD..

Hi guys..

I don't have a PS2..but I'm just curious..

Let's say I buy a PS2 which is not cracked (real original PS2 that can only play original games), and I bought some games which states that the game is for US/Canada systems only, will I be able to play it?

Or does the PS2 in Malaysia only supports games for PS2 Asia systems only?
