I'm new to this Sugar Glider...soo cute and even cuter...er, why aren't they called "Flying Fox" , same ?
1. if i get a baby, which is a better choice to get, a male o female ? better for me to get only 1 ? or a pair is better ?
2. is it advisable for me to bring along inside a car, when i'm on the move ? will it run around ? or should be in a cage ?
3. if i bring it out, will it get stressed if exposed to a lot of people ?
or any good advice you can give for a beginner like me ?
Yes, they are cute, but keeping them is not easy I must say, needs a lot of patience and dedication.
If you refer to any good breeder, they will tell you the same, keeping a glider needs a lot work.
Flying fox and sugar glider are two totally different species, that's why a sugar glider is a sugar glider and a flying fox is a flying fox. You can Wiki 'em up for more info.
As for your Q's,
1) Male or female doesn't matter, when bonded, both are equally great companion. If you have lotsa time, 1 is fine. But if you don't and if you think long term, 2 is best. Same sex is best.
2) You can bring them anywhere you go provided you have the right carrying pouch. Do not let them free in your car when you are on the move, it is very risky and might cause hurt to you glider.
3) If it's too young, it can be stressful. But as they grow up and bond well, it is not a problem at all.
