Because S500i feature this:

Being a hellish butterfinger, it grips to my hand securely prevents me from dropping it. So I thought W580i share the same back cover with the S500i. So you guys confirm the W580i has plasticy smooth/slipery surface at the back cover?

w580i is plastic and smooth, but u can buy the housing fr SE n pasang it ur self

So S500i housing are interchangeable with W580i?

w580i now got how many colours can choose??

is w580i firmware more stable den w910i??

I think the front part w580i cannot fit into s900 housing, due to the button of both of them are diff. but the back suppose can fit nicely. u can always go to service center ask them

hard to say the firmware more stable than w910 or not but, but its stable for w580 model now..

W580i got white, grey, black and pink now..

i'm new here, and i'm planning to get this phone. from what i have read from GSMArena.com, the review there stated that the keypad of this phone cracks easily, is this true? if i would to buy this, would you all recommend it? or other model? i'm more into slide phone from SE. any other problems regarding this phone? i saw from few replies in this thread that the phone is lagging, is that true?

Damn, i just realize about 2 hours ago my left color LED not working anymore. penat saja mod the phone kaw-kaw from last nite. Now sakit hati to the max.. btw, I still love my baby w580i!! WooHoo..

Now in my home got 2 w580i, one is mine which is grey and another one is black. It belongs my younger brother.

do you encounter any problems with W580i? coz i'm considering this phone. from what i've read, the keypad cracks easily and the system will lag, do u face these problems?

I got this phone for my gf and the keypad is ok and durable, anddefinitely not as bad as the S500. I've seen reports of S500 cracking, but W580i is ok so far.

Good phone, but are sliders are not my cup of tea

Problem:
1)cracked keypad (not bothering me)
2)silver ring button kinda fade off after a few months of using (not bothering me, consider wear & tear)
3) left side LED won't work--> it happens only to me. never heard of this problem before from other user. maybe because i've dropped it a few times lol.

For the keypad, u just have to press it in the middle to prevent it from cracking. I broke my first button after 2 month using the phone. It cracked because I played guitar legend, a lot. If not sure it won't crack for a longer time. w580i keypad more 'tahan' than s500.

I don't seems to encounter any serious lag on this phone. For me the lag is acceptable. It this phone sucks then why I do recommend it for my younger brother

I like this phone, it's GUI is nice, user friendly, cool design,

but sadly the keypad cracks like biscuits.

I wonder why SE is still releasing this phone when the keypad design are flawed?

or did they ever tried to fix it?

Have you guys try to change your acoustic file? I'm using peter v2 acoustic file and its sound really NICEE!!!! Haha, a lot better than the stock acoustic. The treble is crisp and the bass is loud. Currently im using this setting for the equalizer (16_9_11_16_14) Another reason to love my phone now

I juz bought a second hand W580....Its style white....But the keypad is crack and it can't sensor....I noe that this is a common prob for this phone...So I am asking around anybody selling this keypad....SE really sux.....

Can I noe if a waranty card kosong and dun have anything and its by SX Marketing can it be claim.....Without bill also....LOL...

How to use shake function:
1) play any song in walkman
2)press the walkman button (w) while you the the phone

By the way, how much did you pay for your w580i? I saw w580i keypad selling around rm30 at LYP. I can't comfirm whether it's an ori or not. It's so easy to replace w580i0 keypad. no screwdriver needed. Refer to the video below
