Smart contracts launch date supposed to be announced today, and expected to be by end of this month.

Bullish sentiment because in theory it would allow it to compete with Ethereum better and maybe some DeFi projects will switch over.

However I don't foresee many protects actually switching over. Cardano still doesn't have a working stablecoin yet.

I expect ADA will be legally available to trade in Malaysia within 3 months. Japan has made ADA available to trade legally, total 6, BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, BCH and ADA. We Malaysia seem follow Japan.

Which makes sense in the long term also as I see it - while ETH is the major alt coin backbone, others such as ADA (with its computational layer) and DOT (with its parachain) are developing ecosystems that facilitate interoperability between different blockchains, allowing different platforms to interact with one another. In the end, while they all have somewhat differing end goals, with this interoperability it becomes more of a mix match situation where the industry is able to pick and choose the best offerings from each blockchain and make use of them.

Having said that, we are still in early days, VERY early days as yet, so this is still a long way.

in summary, can still access your binance (no vpn necessary for now, unless M'sia still wanna block it), can keep your cryptos in Binance but if wanna convert cryptos to MYR, need to transfer to other exchanges that have P2P with M'sia payment options or cash out via Luno

I'm too reliant on Binance P2P, any sifu can kasi alternatives now that it is officially being removed.

* I'll put Luno as the last resort though.

Cash out some of my coins and buy in luno liao... Those still on red I just leave it there for now until the ban is lifted or those coins become valuable in the future...
