But then guess with your unhardened heart,  you probably understand what I am implying right? Not.

Wow.  I am no longer a heretic. I am so happy.

This I agree. "In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity". At this point, with some folks, there is a different gospel, though.

Is God looking at you to judge you?

Colossians 3:3 (NIV) - For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Morning Guys.

I want to start by coming straight to the point....based on this verse above, do you think God is looking at you to judge you?

The reason for this devotion is because there are Christians who still feel the sense of God's judgement (though own flaws of sinning) more than his Grace and Love.
I'm here to help you that you may understand God's word with revelation by the Holy Spirit so that you are set free. The Devil wants Christians to be bound and ineffective through condemnation even though He/She is saved. The Devil is condescending evil, he will try to stop you every step of the way. If he can't have you separated from God, he will have you bound to be ineffective for God's Kingdom expansion.

I have my doubts on those who claim that because He/She has been consistently obedient, God has answered the person more and more. That to me is a lie for one (no one can be perfect) and as far as scripture truth has explained it..... the New Covenant is a righteousness of Faith not performance. God is pleased and moved by Faith not by your performance. Performance is the Old Testament Covenant.

Those who are Anti-Grace (Anti-Christ) does not understand there cannot be 2 covenant running effective at the same time. For a new one to come only means the old has been unachievable. Sometime I wish those people actually bother to read and think, read the Bible for himself.

In the Old Testament..the way, people come to God is like this. The one who has transgressed against God will have to bring his animal sacrifices to the Temple for the priest to examine. The Bible says the animal sacrifice must not have any blemish.

user posted image

Question.

Is the priest there to examine the one who has sin? Does He examine the sinner or his animal sacrifice? Well the answer is..He examines the animal sacrifice for blemish. He doesn't examine the sinner for blemish for obvious reason...the sinner is there to make atonement.

The Bible tells us the Old Temple Sacrifice are shadows of the true reality that was about to come and it HAS COME! Today we all know Christ is our sacrificial lamb but how come, We don't follow scripture? In the Old Testament..the priest does not examine whether the sinner has blemished but today we have people saying God will examine the sinner for blemishes. If THAT is true, God still examines for the sinner's blemishes and holiness and righteousness could be achieved by one's own obedience..then why is there a need for a New Covenant and why is there a need for Christ to die on the cross? Why is there a need to call Christ a Savior? Have you ever bother to stop for a moment and think thoroughly on such questions?

If God is looking at you to judge you, then Colossians 3:3 cannot be true. What does it means..for we have died and our life is now hidden in Christ? It means for the believer, his old life that deserved death and condemnation has died at the cross. What does it means "our life is now hidden in Christ? What is the point of mentioning "hidden" Why need to hide from God? God sees everything after all right?

For the word "hidden" to have meaning, it only means God is no longer looking at the believer to judge the believer but He looks at Christ who is the sacrificial lamb. This is a great saving knowledge of scripture and has tremendous empowerment for the believer. The whole problem with many of us believers...we are not putting to death of our old self. We keep resurrecting the old fella so to speak. We act as if the old fella is still alive.

So people of God, will you once and for all, count your old self already dead? That you may be hidden in Christ in God from all imputation and all judgement? The verse Hidden in Christ AND in God means Christ is now your identity and representative before God. So ASK yourself this question. Can Christ come under any judgement and condemnation before God? Yes or No? Are you hidden in Him?

God Bless.

When a person who gets connected to God 24/7. That is how.

Because only God alone has the power to change a person and in God alone there is life. A person without God cannot change and there is no life outside of God.

A person who gets connected to God is like being close to loving Light that snuff out darkness eternally. The darkness represent false lies being thrown to your mind, condemnation, you feel like the whole world is against you, etc.

This same God is for you and not against you and will help and defend you in your life.

I hope you will take the time to discover Him, name is Jesus Christ.

Is God looking at you to judge you? Part 2

Romans 6:11 (NIV) -In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Morning Guys. We are continuing in Part 2 of this series. Previously we have looked at Colossians 3:3 (NIV) - For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Today we are going to talk about..what is the context of "died" and how it is connected to "hidden".

Many people misconstrue the phrase "died" as being obedient to God and turning away from sin. That is the fruit but that is not what the verse is saying. Many people want the end result but fail to grasp the context of the verse. You cannot get there without first understanding what God's word is saying. In order to get to that position, there has to be a repentance in the mind of understanding God's word. The way to understand Colossians 3:3 is to look at Romans 6:11..where it says..."in the same way".

So what is "in the same way" talking about? If you check the preceding verse...talks about Christ death at the cross once and for all for your sins. Now did God condemn Jesus to die because He did sinful acts? Answer is No, right? So what is this death, scripture is talking about? Answer is, God judged Christ to die representing you and I..His Death has taken "away" your sins. It is the imputation of your sin on Christ.... That is the context. So....

IN THE SAME WAY, count yourselves dead to the "Imputation" of sin. The cross is about imputation of sin to Christ on your behalf. Do you understand? If you say the phrase died to sin is about your fight and struggle to obedience to God's law (actions, performance) but Christ death on the cross has nothing to do with Him struggling to obedience (Romans 6:10) because He has no sin that causes Him to struggle for obedience. Do you get this? The key phrase is in this phrase "In the same way" meaning how Christ died to sin is how you died to sin. Same way. The word "count" there in the Greek is "logizomai" which means: I reckon, count, charge with; reason, decide, conclude; think, suppose. It has nothing to do with actions or performance.

What the Bible is saying is that, accept the fact that Christ has died removing your sins..the imputation of it. Romans 6:11 has to do with accepting it from Faith point of view. It takes Faith because your actions maybe far from it. Think about this. How can Christ die just "once for all" when your actions are far from perfect obedience? Isn't it? Christ isn't going to die each time you sin..isn't it? The phrase once and for all (Romans 6:10) means there is Eternal Security. This is how we can have eternal Salvation when you know and understand the "once and for all" is a divine and finished work.

When we reason, conclude, reckon..whatever words you want to use..In the same way.....count yourself dead to the imputation of sin (Romans 6:11)....and your Life is Hidden in Christ, In God (Colossians 3:3)..meaning you reckon God is no longer looking at you to judge you, The Holy Spirit will go into action, working in your life changing you day by day to be the person you're meant to be in the eyes of Father God.

God Bless

Roman 6. interesting

What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

then one may ask what is transpire at the start of Roman 6

here you go

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

FIVE MARKS OF THE FALSE-GRACE DOCTRINEONE.

by John Burton

1. We believe in a theology of exemption.

A theology of exemption states that since we are saved, we are exempt from the penalties of sin. That there are parts of the Bible that no longer apply to us. Yes, it’s a heresy. False-grace removes bible-based responsibilities to respond to God in holiness.

The number of people who subconsciously or unwittingly embrace a theology of exemption is far greater than those who explicitly pronounce their agreement with this doctrine. Many subscribe to false-grace doctrines without realizing their deception.

Many have been lulled into a false sense of security while actually existing in an unsaved state. They are confident they’d enter Heaven if they died, yet the reality is that they would not. They have come to believe they are exempt from certain parts of the Word of God that requires response.

1 Peter 1:15-17 (ESV) 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,

Be holy. God judges according to one’s deeds. Those who hold to a theology of exemption don’t believe they are subject to what this verse is communicating. The command to be holy is to them a great goal, but not a mandate. A principle not a command.

RELATED ARTICLE:   Revival Church merging with pagan organization?

Our name can actually be removed from the book of life—and that is determined by our obedience, our holiness. Sin can still separate a follower of Christ from him. The Rich Young Ruler saw that this was the case. He wanted to follow Jesus, but could not. He was not exempt from judgment even though he wanted to follow Jesus.

The argument of grace is actually quite revealing. People in the false-grace movement would say, “It’s not possible to be holy, or to avoid sin, so thank God for his grace that covers those sins. In fact we are automatically holy… innocent by association!”

Grace isn’t meant to cover up sin, grace is power! Those who walk in true grace would never say that we, as Christians, are predisposed to sin! True grace enables us to do the impossible! False-grace confesses that we cannot. Because of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus, we now have something they didn’t have in the Old Covenant—we have the power to obey! We can do this!

In fact, not only aren’t we exempt from obedience in the New Covenant, the call to obedience is even more humanly impossible than in the Old!

Matthew 5:21-22 (ESV) 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

We as Christians are not exempt from judgment or from the repercussions of sin. If we are in Christ, there is no condemnation, but if we are deceived by false theology into thinking we are in Christ, while actually living in disobedience, we are in trouble. We are not in Christ and there is condemnation. No salvation. The wrath of God remains on us. False-grace doctrine is eternally deadly. There are many people following Jesus today in an unsaved condition.

John 3:35-36 (ESV) 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 3:18-19 (KJV) 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Deeds. Fruit. Works. They are evidences of our position in Christ.

Yes, it’s hard to get saved, hard to stay saved, but if we walk in humility and grace and in the Spirit, eternity with Jesus is our inheritance!

TWO. Sin is treated as temporally troubling but eternally benign.

Hebrews 10:26-27 (ESV) 26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

That verse stands on its own. The false-grace teachers emphasize that our sin may cause problems in the here and now, but there is no risk of Hell. This has to be one of the most troubling positions those in the false-grace movement take.

Universalism is creeping into the church very subtly. False grace teaches that Hell is not a concern for Christians and Christian Universalism teaches that there is no Hell. Different twists on the same false doctrine.

Yes, sin does result in trauma here on the Earth. But, it doesn’t end there. If we embrace a lifestyle of sin, we are not saved. We won’t go to Heaven. The day of judgment will be a day of horror.

The false-grace/semi-universalist position is one that would adhere to “once saved always saved.” My belief is actually quite the opposite—once saved rarely saved. The road is not wide. It’s narrow and it’s rare to find people on it… and people who decide to stay on it.

Revelation 3:5-6 (ESV) 5 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

If we don’t conquer, don’t work out our salvation with fear and trembling, our name is blotted out of the book of life.

Galatians 5:16-21 (ESV) 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

If we walk in the Spirit, our flesh is subdued. However, if we aren’t walking in the Spirit, we are under the law because Christ’s sacrifice has been made of no effect. Therefore, even though we may have said the sinner’s prayer, paid tithes and lived a good life, that salvation is nullified for us. The above scripture reveals what clear evidence to look for when analyzing our position in Christ.

RELATED ARTICLE:   From my new book : The Coming Church : Everything is threatened

I’ve heard of pastors who boast that they no longer preach on the cross, sin or Hell because we are in the age of grace. My God! The cross must be central to our churches!

There can be pastors who preach powerfully, pray in tongues and lead large, growing churches who won’t inherit the kingdom of God. If they are driven by jealousy of other pastors or embrace division, the Bible is clear. If they don’t repent, Hell is in their future. Do you have any idea how much of the fear of the Lord is on this pastor? I tremble continually. False-grace provides temporal security in exchange for eternal torment. The enemy is more than happy to make this exchange.

THREE. Repentance and confession of sin is not necessary after we have been saved.

False-grace teachers proclaim that our sins are forgiven past, present and future. This is simply not true. If we repent, we are forgiven. If we retain our sins they are retained. The provision for forgiveness has been made, and the true grace has been given to us to respond.

The Lord’s Prayer itself makes it clear that we must both ask for forgiveness and forgive!

Matthew 6:12 (ESV) 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

1 John 1:9 (ESV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:6 (ESV) 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

The false-grace theology commonly teaches that we, as humans in a fallen world, are expected to sin and that it’s the focus on sin, not sin itself, that puts us into bondage. The reality is that people are becoming affirmed in a sinful state with no fear of the Lord or fear of damnation to be found. Of course, false-grace teachers don’t encourage a lifestyle of sin, but they also don’t sound the alarm communicating any sort of eternal threat. To them, there is no eternal risk whatsoever.

A friend of mine shared this:

Amy Smith: Misrepresented grace has caused us to respond to the command to be holy with an elbow bump and a wink, wink. “Ok God, we know what you mean. You're not really asking us to be holy, you're just telling us to make sure we're under your grace. We know that You're overlooking those little sins we're not dealing with. In fact, your grace allows us to also overlook some things, such as all the scripture verses that call for standards that are higher than we can achieve.”

Another friend shared this:

Ed Hull: When we die, it will not be what we believed about our identity in Christ that will save us. It will be whether the concept of our identity produced good fruit, the fruit of righteousness.

Simply put, repentance and confession is absolutely critical to our position in Christ after salvation. Most are unclear on their identity… they presume themselves to be ‘in Christ’ though they very well may not. If we are ‘in Christ’, there is no condemnation, but if we analyze our position wrongly, presuming to be ‘in Christ’ when in fact we are not, we are still condemned.

Repentance is actually a very wonderful, joyful, fulfilling lifestyle!

The closer I get to God, the deeper into my heart I allow him to peer, the more wonderful repentance comes flowing out. I love to repent! Even if it’s grieving, my heart comes alive as I realign with the Lover of my soul! The more I turn, the deeper into God I go! Ignoring sin, unbelief and other barriers to intimacy just can’t be our strategy! Presuming they aren’t there when they are just doesn’t work. Repent continually and enjoy an indescribably journey into intimacy with Jesus!

FOUR. A biblical works message is renounced as legalism.

It’s striking to me how often I hear that a focus on holiness and obedience equates to legalism. How far from orthodox Christianity has the church fallen?

The only point at which it’s legalism is if we were to reject the cross and resurrection of Christ by attempting to work our way into Heaven. But, if we agree that Jesus is the only one who could have paid for our sins yet we also refuse to work, our salvation is a myth.

Legalism is our attempt to get to Heaven by bypassing the cross of Jesus. Holiness and works are our response to the cross of Jesus.

Luke 6:46 (ESV) 46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?

Luke 8:21 (ESV) 21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.”

Luke 11:28 (ESV) 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

John 8:51 (ESV) 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”

John 14:15 (ESV) 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

John 15:10 (ESV) 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

John 15:14 (ESV) 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.

Philippians 2:12-13 (ESV) 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Matthew 25:23-30 (ESV) 23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.’ 26But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Throughout the New Testament it’s proven over and over again that obedience, works and production (fruit) is mandatory if we are to be—and stay—saved.

RELATED ARTICLE:   Are solemn assemblies working? When will God pour out in our nation?

FIVE. Salvation is depicted as easy and/or permanent.
Jesus didn’t die on the cross to make it easy for us to get saved. He died so it would be possible for us to get saved.

There is a temptation to withdraw from the pressures of persecution, the call to holiness, surrender and the cross, and a false-grace message is the perfect solution to that problem. It offers an escape from an urgent and fervent focus on obedience by dis-joining it from our position in Christ. The false-grace doctrine teaches that our eternity and our relationship with Jesus is already settled and we can simply relax and enjoy God. Our obedience is in no way joined to our relationship with Jesus our our eternal destiny.

Additionally, there is a misunderstanding of the process of salvation. Those impacted by the false-grace movement tend to believe that they play no part in salvation other than believing that Jesus was the Son of God. Anything other than that would scream of works and false-grace teaching has convinced them to have an averse reaction to anything that feels like human effort.

The scripture that most often comes to mind is Ephesians 2:8-9:

Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

First, this scripture is quite often misunderstood. It is NOT saying that works don’t play a part in salvation. It IS saying that works ALONE can’t save us. Basically, we can’t say, “Thanks Jesus for dying on the cross for me, and rising from the dead. Great job! But, you know, I’m not really interested in your version of salvation. So, I reject the cross and the resurrection… it’s just too narrow for me. Instead, I will give $1 million to a local church and will buy my way into Heaven. I’ll pay the price myself.”

We can’t pay the price. We can’t substitute Jesus’ payment for our own.

But, that doesn’t mean we don’t work in RESPONSE to and in ACCORDANCE with the price that only Jesus could pay. We love Ephesians 2:8-9, but usually leave off verse 10:

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

We were created for good works. Paul reveals that we receive the Spirit via hearing by faith and not of works, yet that does not communicate to us that works are not to be expected. First faith, then works and not the other way around.

James 2:14 (ESV) 14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?

It’s a rhetorical question. The answer, of course, is no. Faith without works cannot save us. This means, if we have faith in Jesus, worship him, pray to him, honor him… but don’t obey, we cannot presume to be saved. False-grace theology would not agree with this.

James 2:18-20 (ESV) 18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

The false-grace movement is shouting, “Show me your faith apart from works!” The question must be, “Are we like demons who have faith (believe) or do we also work in response to the mandates of God?”

It’s easy and common to be falsely saved, but to truly be saved requires an extreme price—both on the part of Jesus and on our part. We can’t do his part and he can’t do ours—and this does have eternal implications. The false-grace message that minimizes obedience and works absolutely does result in people being cast into eternal fire.

QUOTE(desmond2020 @ Mar 14 2018, 09:54 AM)

Just want to make a quick comment on this. I will continue later tonight. Have to work.
Just a quick one.
On James, Faith by Work is dead. Well think about this. Would Paul actually write that? No. Because James was writing to another group of people. Paul was writing to us. It's clear that Paul preaches Faith without works. In fact, he also tells us not to abuse this. Maybe you should read James 1 and tell me if James is actually written to us.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
In fact compare this verse
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

With the rest of Paul epistles.

It is different.

I think the doctrine of Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is spelt out very clearly in Paul's Epistles to deny that is to deny pure scriptures.

Your "explanation" of Ephesians 2:8-9 is actually very carnal like. Please do not twist scripture to achieve your own agenda.

I am not saying that Christians should not bear fruit after salvation. Any Christian that does not bear fruit after salvation has issues.

you can't disregard book of James just because you dont like it's message

that is really funny

you don't have authority to omit any part of bible as irrelevant

that is flat out obnoxious

btw, what happen to

Problem is,
You are disregarding Paul's epistles.

As I have proven. Book of James is written to the 12 tribes.

We are commanded to compare scripture with scripture.
It is obvious that Paul's Gospel does not coincide with what James has written.

I never said that believers are not supposed to have good fruits.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Verse 10 says very clearly that even the fruits that we produced upon being saved, has to be credited to God.

Actually they do not contradict.
If you properly divide the word.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

If you do not properly divide, it will only bring more confusion.

Talking about contradiction.

One part says, We can’t pay the price. We can’t substitute Jesus’ payment for our own.

Another part says...but to truly be saved requires an extreme price—both on the part of Jesus and on our part.

Oh Well.

well then. here is an article from late Billy Graham

what is truth?

Pontius Pilate asked the question, “What is truth?” (John 18:38). And many people today are asking, “What is truth?” Inside the Bible are stories of lust and hate and war and crime equal to anything that we read about in history. The Bible tells the truth. It tells the truth about God, about man, about the devil.

Jesus wasn’t afraid to call Satan what he is: a liar and the father of lies. Jesus said, “There is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44). The first time that man had to make a choice between God’s truth and the devil’s lie, he chose the devil’s lie. When Adam and Eve rejected God’s truth and accepted the devil’s lie, that was the moment that all the troubles of the whole world began. Our sinful nature often sides with the devil’s lie instead of God’s truth, because we are sinners. We’d rather believe the devil’s lie than God’s truth.

Sin is a disease that affects the entire human race. The disease of sin is at the heart of the troubles of the world. To those involved in this dying world, Satan will come with evil’s undiluted power to deceive, for they have refused the truth which could have saved them.

God sends upon them, therefore, the full force of evil’s delusion, so that they put their faith in an utter fraud and meet the inevitable judgment of all who have refused to believe the truth and who have made evil their playfellow. God says these people deliberately forfeited the truth of God and accepted a lie. God, therefore, handed them over to disgraceful passions. They see truth as a lie, and the lie as the truth. They accept the lies of the devil. What are some of these lies?

First, there is the lie about sex. In Proverbs we read, “Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be seared?” (Proverbs 6:27-28). The Scripture refers to lust. Lust means if you had the opportunity, you would commit immorality. Many people fantasize in their thinking, and lust that way.

Second, the devil lies about drugs. And it’s interesting that the words drugs and witchcraft come from the same root word in Greek. Drugs are one of Satan’s great lies. He tells you that you will soar to Heaven and have great, wonderful experiences. But every time, you end up in trouble.

“To those involved in this dying world, Satan will come with evil’s undiluted power to deceive, for they have refused the truth which could have saved them. … They see truth as a lie, and the lie as the truth. They accept the lies of the devil.”—Billy Graham

Third, there is the lie about religious hypocrisy that brings no lasting peace. Millions of people attend church services without having a personal relationship with Christ. I used to be taken to church by my parents, and I hated church. But when I was a teenager, I received Christ as my Savior. When I went back to church, I said to my parents, “The pastor certainly is preaching wonderful sermons.” And they replied, “He’s preaching the same type of sermons, but you’re listening with different ears.” And I was.

Fourth, there’s the delusion that peace is just around the corner. It is not! There will not be peace in the world until the Prince of Peace comes.

We find deception, delusion and lies on every hand. The credibility gap is everywhere. What is the answer? What can people do?

Turn to Christ—to the truth. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). He said, “I am … the truth” (John 14:6). Jesus did not say, “You shall know a truth” or “any truth” but “the truth.” He’s the embodiment of all truth. Jesus said, “If you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins” (John 8:24). If you don’t believe that and don’t accept Christ, you will die in your sins and you’ll be lost. Jesus Christ claimed to be ultimate truth. Are you willing to face the truth?

Jesus told the truth about sin. He said, “Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, and adulteries, and all other sins that we commit” (Cf. Matthew 15:19). War comes from the human heart. Family tensions and problems come from the human heart. Rebellion comes from the human heart.

He told the truth about love. God loves you. And He loves you with a love that you don’t know anything about, because there is no human love comparable to divine love.

God’s love sent His Son to the cross to die and shed his blood for you. He would have died had you been the only person in the whole world. That’s exactly what our Lord Jesus Christ did. God raised Him from the dead, and He’s alive.

Jesus told the truth about judgment. He warned people to “flee the wrath of God” (Cf. Matthew 3:7). Yes, God is angry with the wicked. Jesus said, “Every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36). Every idle word, all your thoughts, all your words, everything you have ever done, will be at the judgment. And you will be condemned by your own words.

Satan is getting ready to launch his tremendous attack under the leadership of Antichrist. Even many of the very elect are going to be almost deceived by these lies. That’s why we need to study our Bibles and pray—so that we can discern.

Jesus told the truth about repentance. He said, “Unless you repent, you will perish” (Cf. Luke 13:3). Have you repented? Repentance means change. I change my mind about God, about myself, about my fellow man. I change my way of living. But on my own I don’t have strength to change. I can’t change. I can’t become a Christian. Why? Because I’m “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). God has to help me change. He has to help me repent. And I have to say, “O God, help me to repent.” Not only do we have to repent, but by faith we must receive Christ into our hearts as Savior and Lord.

Jesus told the truth about conversion. He said we have to be born from above, born again (John 3:3). The process is called conversion. Jesus said, “Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). He’s not telling people to become like adults. He’s telling us to become like little children and have childlike faith. Some people try to enter the Kingdom of God head first. They want to understand it, but we can never comprehend it all. There are many things in the Bible I don’t understand. We come by simple faith, like a little child who trusts his mother and father. We put our total confidence in Jesus Christ by faith. Have you done that?

Repent, receive by faith and then also obey Him. Live the life. Follow Him, serve Him whatever the cost. And it is costly. In the world in which we live, if we hold on to Christian values and live up to moral standards laid down by Christ, it will cost us. So there’s repentance, there’s faith and there’s obedience. Obedience means following Christ, even to the death. Are you willing to do that?

Before you come to Christ, you are a slave of sin. Christ’s truth makes you free—free from the penalty of sin so that you’ll never go to hell. Freedom now from the power of sin so that sin shall no longer have dominion over you. And freedom someday from even the presence of sin. You can be free, right now, by coming to Christ.  ©1985 BGEA

You quoted Paul recommended celibacy but still say one cannot be celibate? Are you saying Paul is a hypocrite or Jesus Christ Himself? How blasphemous! Again, the Catholic Church does not forbid marriage since it is one of the seven sacraments, but the vow of celibacy is taken by those who are called to that state and willingly, no one points a gun at them to take on celibacy.

Who instructed priests to take the the place of Christ? Well Christ Himself delegated this authority, of course. "Do this....." and authority to bind and loose "And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven."

BTW not sure what you mean by not the affairs of civillians (Huh?)

Paul recommended but did not instruct celibacy. Fact he encourage marriage if the individual cannot withstand temptations.

I did not say one cannot be celibate. I said the scriptures has no instructions for priests to be celibate. On the contrary Paul says he should be husband of one wife. Do you even read properly?

I could have sworn, that ALL the RCC priests where I am are UNMARRIED. Coincidence?
Would you like to refute this?

QUOTE
In 1075 Pope Gregory VII issued a decree effectively barring married priests from ministry, a discipline formalized by the First Lateran Council in 1123. Since then celibacy has been required of Roman Catholic priests, though the Catholic churches of the East have continued to allow priests to marry before their ordination.

Christ delegated authority to ALL believers, who are priests unto the Lord.

Why is there confusion in the body of Christ?

Galatians 3:12 (NIV) - The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, "The person who does these things will live by them."

There are many articles written across the internet on Christian theology and they all belongs to different school of thoughts. There are writings in support of Grace and there are Anti grace, there are some in support of OSAS as well as Anti-OSAS, Armenian vs Calvinism. The thing is...there are different school of thoughts and by posting one in support of a certain view does not necessarily mean it is the only right view.

Reason for me saying this is because every Christian are in different phase of growing up. They will write according to the phase of growth they're in. There are some who have matured spiritually and there are who has yet mature. Some of the revelation may seem foreign to the one who still growing because He/She has not been given the revelation by the Holy Spirit. Simply reading articles on theology does not mean the person can understand scripture because Scripture is not normal letters but living words from God, more accurately the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:10, you need the Holy Spirit to understand the things of God, namely his word.

Today I will defuse why there is confusion and why there cannot be a mixture of Law and Grace. Jesus Himself said, Old Wine cannot be poured into New Wine skin. New Wine skin is Grace not the Law. And Romans 11:6 helps us to understand, if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. The word works there in the Greek is Ergon, which means work, labor, action, deed.

In context you cannot work for Salvation, neither earn it. There are many confusing writing telling us, Salvation is conditional and we need to earn it. They will say things like Agreed you cannot pay for your sins and then later throw out the entire theological argument down the drain by saying we need pay the price for Salvation, quoting involving Jesus and ourselves. The writer don't even know what he's talking about. if you need to pay the price, you are also saying you're earning it. Else why do you need to pay it? You don't pay for something that is free. It is stupidity.

Friend, we need spiritual intelligence. My Bible tells me, Jesus alone qualify to die on the cross for others, You don't! Even if you do, your sacrifice is tainted by sin, God will not accept it.

Also Bible says the righteous shall live by Faith. My bible tells me Galatians 3:12 is saying, the laws of God is not based on Faith. What this means is that, those who live by the Law negates Faith. So I ask you the question.

Which is it? Does the Righteous live by Faith or Not? How come Galatians says The Law is not based on Faith? I'll tell you why. When you try to mix Law and Grace, the wine will ferment and it will burst out.....meaning to say in revelation, you will lose both. What you will have is unstable Christian Life. One moment Okay, the next moment, you're not, you will be confused, Shaken, don't know which is which. No wonder those who subscribe to such doctrine is often seen to quote, they don't even know if they are truly saved, only at the end of their life, they will know.

Well according to the theology you subscribe, it's not a wonder why you don't know. Galatians 3:12 tells us why. The Law is not of Faith! When you subscribe to the Law, You WILL Negate Faith. That is what Galatians 3:12 is saying.

The sad thing is, In Galatians 3:13, We are told Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. What this also means is that, those who live by the Law Will have to obey it all the way because if you break one there is a curse. It's written quite clearly there. Those who wants to be justified by the Law (Even if you mixed law and grace) there is a curse attached to it. The curse is the curse of the Law.

No wonder people who subscribe to such theology have an unstable Christian life. One moment up, another moment is as if they've lost the connection to God. They don't even know who God is.

The Only antidote to be loosed from this curse and even the bondage of Sin is GRACE and nothing else. Why? Because Grace dismantle ALL Self qualification. (Grace = unearned) Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace stands on the same side with Truth. Think about it.

God Bless.
