aiya, shouldn't have go check out the new vacuum....it was really good handy vacuum. just brought it home because the dealer offer me a very very irresistible price, approx 20% off from RCP wo...how not to buy ( better than ct hardware discount )  rclxub.gif  laugh.gif

function : both dry and wet vacuum, blower and semi auto filter cleaning. dealer told me price will be adjusted again by bosch ( higher price ) but not sure when...he already sold more than 5 units including mine just this morning alone....

What that 100w min mean? Lower suction mode ? If so, hope you can check the noise DB on the 100w mode running.

not sure what does that mean....no suction mode selection, just turn on and off. i don't have the device to measure DB level but compare to my karcher wd3 premium, karcher was a bit louder and with higher pitch noise compare to this bosch.

here's the video comparing the karcher wd3 with this bosch....forward to the end (14:20), you will be able to hear the noise comparison. this bosch can suck so well !  laugh.gif

I think it means the powertool connected need to be minimum 100w consumption.
Too low power the vacuum's circuit won't be able to remote trigger by the power tool.
*
Thanks.

Sigh, Thought I can do something late night with more silent vacuum.

If the vacuum is brushed motor you can use those high power dimmer to reduce voltage to the vacuum thus make it turn slower = more quiet.
I haven't try this method yet.  blush.gif
*
Need to open up and check is there any electronic thing inside together. If plain motor, can use PWM to control.

So far the most silent vacuum is the Dyson. Damn so expensive. sweat.gif

Got a couple to install.
Since I only need a couple more tools to allow self install so I think why not. Can be used later to properly clean everything or do maintenance work.

And no installer that i've ever paid has ever evacuated the gas line using a vacuum pump to remove air. All just force evac using the precharged gas.
*
Not sure how hard work you are. But deal with couple of aircon maintenance every yrs is not easy.

Those good installer already big business and rare for small wan. You can look for those install project wan. But mostly layan vip or friend only.

Since now people using more battery powertools, why some failed faster than others.

Battery is the extra cost add up to your tools. And it is expensive if it die earlier.

This is the reason why.

I see most battery got balancing circuit wired in, Bosch its too well covered in wrapping can't see it to confirm.

China made Makita clone battery with less complicated control circuit costs 1/3 of original makita battery.
*
According to the guy, the bosch circuit board is not on the battery. But at the charger side.

So if the battery pack failed, it mean the battery failed.

But others battery with a circuit board in it, if some component spoil, (IC, resistor etc) the whole battery pack failed. Even the battery cell is still good.

The chance of the battery cell spoil is very less than the circuit board. And with the circuit board built into the battery pack, it more expensive.

I open my AL1860CV to take a look at inside circuit, not so complicated actually.
Don't understand what those chips in the does tho. haha.  tongue.gif

In this case, clone Bosch battery should be relative safe coz Bosch;s battery does not require complicated control circuits like other brands.  hmm.gif
*
The important is the balance charge and overload.

But what extra function of such circuit do, we don't no. Will it effect the drill?

QUOTE(lucifah @ Aug 7 2017, 04:35 PM)
actually, it's more to the batt cells itself. they are expensive i read somewhere, and cloned batteries doesn;t produce constant high power output

the electronics are mostly for safety. to cut off power when it overheats. i do notice the batt packs get hot easily when i use it with angle grinder
*
The original cell must able to draw high amp. Which is more expensive.

Cloned wan normally lower amp and use normal cell. Sure cheaper.

I have such an experience with power bank and laptop battery. Where the board spoil. But the battery cell is fine.

And all the clone battery are not up to the capacity spec on the label. I rip off such battery and test their capacity.

So the cheap clone battery don't expecting same Ah.

This battery, many vapers have good knowledge about battery.

Recommend 18650 battery :
Sony VTC 4/5/6
Samsung 25R/30Q
LG HG2
*
ya, they use the high drain type of cell.

Cause the vapers only able to use 1 cell.

i been playing with 18650 batteries, these battery are common. On 18650 also have two type, one with inbuild circuit one without, and both are use for different purpose. The cheap ones that come with circuit protection are as good as useless, it can try your sensitive device.

The cheap ones cannot product sustained high current drawn. Sometime you risk burning the battery if drain are too high to be handle.
*
Beside the protected, it also branch to another 2 type. The normal and high drain Ah.

Either you parallel the battery to share the Ah or use the high drain.

That's why the clone wan have to be carefull. Powertools start up require high Ah.

Sometime I'm thinking, is the clone battery actually 2nd grade battery or just the big brands has damn high markup? (to cover for insurance and their team of lawyers in case the battery blow up).

Coz some of the OEM battery seller claims their 18650 are actually from samsung/sony too. 6 years shop in taobao, with some feedback of battery DOA but non complain the battery is under capacity/under power.

Plus some youtube channel that open up OEM batteries to show the cells are actually the same as original.
Thats the thing that got me thinking...  hmm.gif
*
There is no grade actually.

They only choose which capacity mAh to use. Of course higher more expensive.

So far I rip out the 18650 from many battery, there are usually 2 type to scam.

1) Those max scam you will use no brand cell and low capacity mAH. This cell won't have many cycle life charge and drain out fast. Usually dirt cheap price.

2) Those close to original price is using brand cell. But to lower down the cost, they use the lower capacity mAH. Charge cycle is same as original long. But won't give you long working hr.

OEM sure is original cause it make for the brand.

But claim to be OEM is another story.

i would really like to buy one if i really use it, even if once a year. LoL

but the fact is, i still dunno what to use it for  tongue.gif

i try to find some sort of reason to justify my power tools purchase. some good, some are just borderline (the 18v vacuum for example)

hahaha  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
Don't buy.

You will end up like me. Few time use and the rest of the time in store room for thousand of yrs.

it's not for everyone, since not everyone lives in the jungle and/or have big trees to trim. most people would be content with a pair of pruning scissors. biggrin.gif

but please don't buy an electric chainsaw.

was considering that model previously.

but since i do a lot of soldering, went with the solder instead.

this pocket torch i use for small torching, shrink wraps and heating stuffs up.
burning garbage and also as lighter.

larger torching i use the butane cap directly on gas can.
*
Initial think of the Dremel versatip too. But worry the torch fire power. Since I want 2 in 1 with higher flame torch.

So decide get the bigger wan. And it have a larger tank.

I already have a 18w solder iron. This is for bigger solder job.

Have a bad experience with the butane gas solder iron others brand. Doesn't last long and it not hot enough. Throw away.

Have such a small torch. 1 day it cannot light up. Dismantle and service. Still not work. Probably some dirt block the nozzle. End in rubbish bin sad.gif I like this torch. It is my 2nd torch.

Went to CT hardware to look for a T10 screw driver. Finally found it, looks like very old stock.
Tested the GAS15PS vacuum, I like the feature and the vacuum is not loud.
But I wonder how much suction will lost after passing through the cyclone.
[attachmentid=9046869]

With the T10 screwdriver, I can open up the ori and clone makita battery to inspect.

Ori makita battery has balancing build in and large circuit board
Clone makita batery has smaller circuit board and no balancing.
Both has temperature probe to prevent overheat.
[attachmentid=9047091]
Ori Makita 18v 4AH RM440
Clone Makita 18v 4AH RM120.

CLone makita use 1 years spoil also worth it. Time will tell...
*
I never like Stanley tools. Their finishing are rough and not fine. More to medium quality. The grip can give me high torque to push.

That clone battery probably not 4ah. Probably 1/2 of it only. There is no 4ah battery yet in the market.
