Oops my bad.
The thick Battery at the left is clone 4AH.
The thin battery at the right is ori 2AH.

I have no test equipment to validate their capacity but the thicker battery does lasts much longer than 2AH on a circular saw.
*
If that 10pcs battery is 4ah, than should be correct. Given it run 5pcs series and 2 set of parallel.

You need some discharge device to check the capacity.

Next time kong liau, can just change the battery to higher capacity. 6ah possible. Even 9ah or 12ah. biggrin.gif

But you need to use the high discharge type.

the clone batt pack is using what cells? samsung?
*
Have to check with Yushin.

Depend how cheap. Those too cheap will just use non brand type. Which have short charge cycle or lower capacity.

Brand battery will be more expensive. If they want keep it low cost, they will use lower capacity and label it at 2ah.

But fake or Ori, they must use high discharge type. If not will over heat or catch fire.

No idea, didn't open the wrapping, the cells are wraped in brown paper.
The seller says its samsung cell but I dunno how to validate.
*
There is a print word and number on the cell. Just key in the whole number in uncle google, and you know what cell and capacity already.

Used the clone battery on my circular saw, doesn't feel the heat at all, a bit warm only.
Never really put the battery under high drain condition, I don't have a grinder.  tongue.gif
*
There is 2 type of battery cell. Normal discharge and high discharge. High discharge battery can discharge as high as 10A. Without heat the battery. Or catch fire.

It is normally use on vaping device. So you want to buy this type of battery, look for vaping people. They sell 100% ori.

For fake battery to achieve higher Amp but using normal battery, they parallel it the battery. So your drill motor require 10A to run, 10/2= 5A each battery discharge. So it won't heat up the battery.

You collect so many such cell to make energy bank ah.

Should invest in battery spot weld too.

He want to make Tesla Power Wall with all those batteries.  brows.gif

Few pcs only la. tongue.gif

Thinking to replace or add in a battery bank to my existing solar system battery. Thinking of using Li-ion cell instead of AGM battery. Initial cost, Li-ion is expensive. But long run, Li-ion is cheaper.

And make some 12v li-ion battery for my motor ski and outdoor usage. biggrin.gif Lighter than lead seal battery. Can speed up my motor ski. dry.gif

Already invest on this. Instead spot weld. This dremel more variety usage.

Will the heat cause damage to battery?
*
Yup. Heat will damage the cell.

But if you know how to control, it should be ok.

Need a high watt solder iron that can shorten the soldering duration. So the cell don't get hot long.

That's why have to get this dremel versatip torch blower that have solder tip. It heat very hot.

For electrical solder iron, at least 200w. And it freaking bulky. I rather get the dremel. biggrin.gif

Did a check on ebay for the price of a spot welder. waaa so expensive.
If seldom use, that dremel flame solder seems more economical.

DIY lor.

Not worth to buy. Unless you want to make Tesla power bank.

Solar panel also not yet installed. Wait lar...
Actually I prefer that salt or deep discharge battery if I am doing solar energy storage.
*
Don't dream so far la. Your project will take long to do and won't kickstart wan.

All this tech thing is beyond our reach. Too expensive and not easy to get here.

Just kickstart what you have here and those easy get parts. No point to wait.

With some calculation, actually Li-ion battery are more cheaper to run. Compare deep cycle battery which is cheaper in initial cost.

Got to find some li-ion battery price that what western enjoy. We here always more expensive to get. sad.gif

Until now I still can't find any online forwarder that can do sea shipping.
Those ezbuy etc only do air freight from USA which costs a bomb.

*coz I am interested in Dewalt's cordless table saw*
*
Last time I ask people at US help me to ship over here use sea shipping. Took about a month. Courier till doorstep.

Cheaper alot. But have a min weight to justified. Not mistaken over 100lb.

I still got friends and relatives from states, usually i use forwarder like comgateway, cost few hundred more but still cheaper than buying locally. Comgateway ship Batteries over using DHL so no issue to me.

If i can save a little more shipping to SG as their shipping cost to that place is cheaper compare to malaysia and no tax below 400 sgd.
*
Interesting if they can ship battery. Would like to try. If combine shipping cost cheaper than here.

Still very expensive compare individual shipping way.

currently i just have a cordless driver, corded angle cutter, orbital sander and a compressor for paint.

wanted an circular saw for some diy wood work. cordless angle cutter will drain the battery very fast maybe not a good investment.

maybe just get the 3 pieces combo for 199
*
If you have friend and relative, why not ask them to look for you at homedepot. Give them the picture what you want. Than ship back here.

Sometime dirt cheap at the store.
