Wah.
You guys didn't open the trigger and order replacement parts for it?

Should've sold to me cheap cheap I didn't have to buy this unit.
*
Till this level I open. Nothing much I can do when open up the trigger and see the speed side resistor abit worn out.

Since it already 18yrs old, time to retired.

it's the new bosch rotary hammer.

i was hoping for a smaller size compared to my makita.
the makita is quite long and front heavy. tried a cordless bosch rotary hammer and felt like its smaller and shorter.
user posted image

but this is about the same size as the makita. sigh.
should've bought the compact v-li one as that is very small. easier to use on a ladder.

oh well

Which wan have more hand balance if holding horizontal or vertically?

I see the battery placement got to do with the drill balancing handling. Given the battery additional weight on the drill.

The bosch has a more balanced weight. And shorter overall length.

But the power delivery is not linear.
Its like the tool has a soft start control. 50% of the button deliver 25% of the power.
Thus makita feels like it has more power compared to the bosch.
*
I see the Makita like using the famous 2470 model and simply design it into the cordless. Strap the battery below the handle.

While the bosch do redesign the set and place the battery in between.

But not sure how is the weight distribute between to make it comfort to handle.

Is the bosch battery have different type? Powertools battery normally using high drain cell. Which can deliver very high Amp.

Walau, big job.

Good luck if you want smooth shine surface. The dust will stick on the wet paint everywhere.

Last time when do such large spray paint, have to use plastic sheet to cover the 4 wall. Clean the floor as much as possible. Time spray, water hose wet the floor to makesure the dust stick to the floor.

Now lazy liau.

That Karcher offer not bad.

High pressure washer + Wet and dry vacuum cleaner for RM499 ! Free trolley bag somemore.

I remember that pressure washer I brought for RM299. RM200 more for that vacuum is cheap.

Go grab it !

Taobao got 3 day sale for Worx WX423 saw @rm230, free 2 blade for laminate & tile
Use it to cut smaller things on the worktop so no need to power up the noisy tablesaw.

To buy or not to buy... hmm....

Forget it. The 12v is not powerfull enough. It take 2x to do the job.

i have the 18v already. but its too big to fit into that small space to cut off some m16 bolts
*
This 12v can't push strong to grind and cut. You will stop the turning every time push harder. Have to slowly to grind it.

Than the motor get hotter and hotter. Have to stop to cold it down before can continue.

If the bolt is long, saw it away or air hammer or multi cutter or sabre saw. If only few mm to grind it flat, good luck with the 12v.

heck, u cant even fit an arm in that tight space. hahaha

multi cutter is shit. i run down 2 expensive blades (rm60 each) and not even half of the bolt thread is cut. cry.gif

a sabre saw will be too big to fit. if i use a hack saw blade, it will take me 6 hours

the last job i had was hack and hack and brutal hack to shear off that bolt. it took me 4 hours just to remove that 1 last damn bolt.

this is the damage to my arm. i have to cut 2 16mm box wrench to try to unbolt the nut, which takes about 1 turn / every 30 mins. LoL

luckily the bosch 18v grinder is sort of nearly waterproof. quite a lot of water seeped into the vents (i was trying to detach a water cooling coil) and luckily the motor did not stop working
*
Walau so shiong. How narrow the place you're talking?

This kind of arm hand scratch is pretty normal to me last time. biggrin.gif

Even we use cord grinder to cut for water cooling tower. 1 person cut, and another person stanby at the switch. Incase he get shock. sweat.gif

Air hammer

very deep, luckily can still reach within an arm length. it's the bolt at the floor pan. i can't take off the side panel because there is a heating coil sandwiched in between, and opening it risk damage to the delicate fins. hahah

how narrow? let's say i have to cut off the pipe header at several sections just to make space for my arm to go in  laugh.gif
*
Oh I forget.

Another way we use last time when can'get to the bolt and narrow space.

Cutting torch. Very usefull. Took no more than 1/2hr. Finish job. thumbup.gif

GWS 10.8V-76 is worth every ringgit paid. Cut short my work time by 4 hours!

As usual, guard is removed for this job (you'll see why later)

verdict: the name is misleading. it's a cutting tool, not an angle grinder. to make up for the lack of torque, it is given very high speed (19,500rpm). so you have to genly work your way into the bolt

can cut an m16 bolt easily. i expected the 76mm disc to be used up for 2 bolts, but after severa; bolts, i can see only 3 - 5mm of the disc were shaved off. battery consumption is massive. 1ah batt wont be a good choice. 2 bolts and you exhaust the battery

verdict? this will be my favorite metal cutting tool liao. GWS18v-Li can take a backseat.
*
Done before such case. Not exactly same.

We just use cutting torch. Use some metal sheet to protect those copper and surrounding. Than just melt it off the bolt.

Hi sifu-sifu, been going through this thread for the past couple of days. Just starting out with home woodworking. Need your advice on my next purchase. I have a bosch 12v drill and I want to purchase a saw next. Am looking at the 12v jigsaw GST-12v and the GKS-12v circular saw. Which on should i get first considering I'll be doing most of my woodworking things right in front of my front door since I live in an apartment. Prior to this I have been using handtools. I'm considering a cordless one cause I can bring it down to the yard at the back of the apartment to do some cutting where there are no power supply access. I'll be cutting mostly salvaged pallet boards and beams.
*
12v is only for light wood and job cutting.

If you serious, start get the 18v collection. More power and work longer hr.
