just toy around few new Bosch 18v tools....some of the pricing is so  lust.gif  drool.gif .

@lucifah, now they bring in the 18v bulldog here...pricing cheaper than amazon  shocking.gif got 2 version, ec and non ec
( non ec bulldog pricing with 2 x 18v 3.0ah + charger is so so damn attractive  shocking.gif , below 1k )

the 18v led ( look like robot leg one.. ) the pricing is so good ! less than what i would expected...  drool.gif

the new vacuum with Automatic start-stop power socket system – ( for convenient power-tool dust extraction connection ) is also very  drool.gif .

Maybe they start feeling the heat from all the new dewalt and makita products that start selling here.
I end up making my own master-slave switch to let power tool trigger the vacuum.

Btw, do they have solo tool for the rotary hammers?
I don't need so many battery and chargers.
*
just found this thread.

how did you get the power tool to trigger the slave vacuum?
current detection method?

easy, just buy a vacuum model with such function, comes with a power socket.
QUOTE
with the addition of an on-board power socket, you can also connect up power tools and extract dust as you're working. An integrated power switch automatically triggers when you turn on your power tool, so you don’t have to walk back and forth to the vacuum cleaner as you sand or drill.

Using current detection method.
The circuit board is bought from china.

I had some picture in previous powertool V1 talking about it.

Currently using it on my tablesaw/bandsaw & dust collector

EC is brushless motor

non EC is brushed motor

bosch sometime make bold claim say brushed motor better than brushless - this can be seen on their angle grinder offering

even claim 4-pole brushed motor for superior power hmm.gif

cos they freakin slow to come out with brushless 18v, when all the others already got, my ryobi already 2years.
so they gotta put some cover line until they launch it.. biggrin.gif

but angle grinder wired, usually brushed motor right? cos its super cheap stuff. if battery one angle grinder not cheap wei.

How is the performance of the STEL503K?
I initially wanted to get a B&D hammer drill but after researching about the advantages of a rotary hammer drill, I decided to get the latter instead and this is one of the cheapest reliable brands around.
CT Hardware is having quite a good deal I think, for RM329.00 and comes with wall plugs and bit set.

It's a worthwhile investment for me, I'm doing some DIY home reno at the moment and was having a hard time drilling into ceiling concrete with a GSB16RE which is an impact drill.

Decided then to get this Stanley and it took few seconds for the same depth and drill bit size that took almost a minute on the impact drill. Your hands feel less tired and less vibration also, and it's actually not as noisy as an impact drill, also the holes are cleaner because u spend less time boring the hole.

Only downside is, they're heavy compared to an impact drill, but the weight penalty is offset by being able to finish ur drilling much faster

Most of the rotary hammers, including the STEL503K, can do drill-only, hammer+drill, or hammer only for light chisel work (I haven't tried that out yet), just bear in mind that they take SDS+ drill bit, not the usual rounded drill bits that impact drills use.

they are like umw toyota - they take their sweet time and continue selling outdated stuff for local market because they know locals will always go for bosch

LoL

actually, bosch's batt angle grinder is one of the cheapest in the market (solo of course) and lacks many features of a modern angle grinder like paddle switch & tool-less disc guard positioning (u still need a freaking hex key to loosen the guard and move it and lock it)

another power tool raped...

notice the tired GBH-18V Li Compact is still in service - the small compact size allows me to drill at very small spaces (esp corner of soffit & beams). they can go up to 16mm but you'll have sore shoulders for a few hours afterwards

hospital project ah? caution with the rotary hammer noise...might awaken some uninvited guest rclxs0.gif

concrete drilling is always the nastiest torture to the tool, that's why i always clean my tool with blower and wipe clean with damp cloth as routine maintenance...

ya wo...we are always left behind mad.gif mad.gif

anyway this vacuum don't need to use the specific dust bag by bosch, you can use the normal black color garbage bag also ( make sure it's the thicker quality one ) so it's cheaper maintenance too.

i will skip this because all my tools are cordless anyway except router, table saw, miter saw. but the pricing is very tempting drool.gif gonna test play the unit later...
