Between GenM and Genting, which is a better choice? Personally i feel GenM is pushing to it's max while Genting still has some runway.

What do u mean by pushing to it's max? Share price?

For me I think GenM still quite ok in term of valuation despite big increase these few days.

Genting is more diversified so the news released have less catalyst for Genting.

do you also use IB?

My trading acc has been approved but I don't know if it's worth it for trading SG / US stocks.

Why Econpile? It looks overvalued to me at PE 46 and it has a loss quarter. The rule of thumb is never invest in a company that has a loss within the last 3 years.

Advcon looks great especially their cash flows but their gross margins are too slim in a competitive industry.

actually Im wondering why high PE company i.e. econpile can sustain its price for so long, or actually it is so fragile that anything could collapse it until reasonable PE price?

yup, maybe advcon, PE is fair and earning is so so..Im thinking to buy before more projects by PH in Malaysia to be announced.

So far I'm interested in these two main piling companies, do you have any idea on other companies? Do gamuda, sunway those actually have their own piling equipment?
if so, adv/econpile will not be entitled as subcon?

Sunway Construction has their own piling business. I think it's common for property developers to have their own machinery.

Well, is piling business really that great? I think construction doesn't have good prospects right now.

Finance ppl, pls help me to understand the modified Dietz formula.

Say you got a portfolio of stocks. When dividend is declared and you receive cash, do you include it in the modified Dietz calculation? If yes, where? Is it outflow cash?

If DRIP, then it's just an increase in the final value of your investment?
