lens broke where got cover under warranty.. gonna repair by ownself
now i learn another thing. i didn't know that using rc need to change to gesture mode in order for it to land..
*
Haha, if its DJI hardware fault then possible to cover under warranty just that have to send to DJI for assessment biggrin.gif

It's more recommend to connect to RC/phone when using gesture control as alot fly away is due to gesture control too.

err.. don't think is hardware fault haha..

what do you mean by connect phone using gesture control? usually i will use phone to on the gesture mode. just that i didn't know that when using rc, have to change to gesture mode in order for it to land on the palm.. cause when i'm using phone, once setting already set on.. no need purposely go select gesture mode. i thought one setting apply to all.. no matter on phone or rc hehe

Can always try to twist the story abit when report to DJI tongue.gif

I mean, when using gesture control it's more recommend to connect your spark to phone/RC instead of launching directly by double tap on power button. Most fly away happen or accident happen is due to launching by double tap on power button.

Oh, yeap....when using RC, you still have to enable gesture mode from your phone for palm landing. It's at the icon you set quick shot/tripod mode.

Erm, behind the battery got button. If i remember correctly, after you switch on your spark, hold your spark facing your face then double tap the button behind then it will launch from your hand without RC/phone, you can see that in Spark promotional video. Your step is correct if you controlling using your phone/RC and it's the recommend way, haha.

No worry, this is where we share knowledge among each other biggrin.gif I only try once launching this way, and it's kinda scary to only able control it using gesture as the gesture not working that well too. sweat.gif Another tips is, if you hold your spark while it hovering then turn it facing down (*propeller facing towards ground) it will auto shutdown spark, so if emergency and it could not land, you could use this way but be careful of your finger and surrounding.

ahhh.. i get what you mean. means not take off directly from ground and is from palm right?

yeah i know about the tips that you mention but i feel kind of scary la.. cause when emergency i don't think you will be very careful by that time.. sure simply grab just like my friend wanna quickly grab it but ended up can't hold it properly.. another way of saying is afraid of accidentally cut the finger.. also if the drone hover within your height limit that you can access possible la.. i once encounter it hover too high and stop there. over my height and it can't descend no matter what i do.. trying to catch but unable cause too short wakkakaka sweat.gif

Yeap, thats what i mean.

Yeah, when emergency sure will nervous and ignore the safety. So need be calm when anything happen. When too high, the RC/phone wont respond to go down? That's scary also....next time when fly need to get a tall friend accompany laugh.gif laugh.gif

however the take off directly from the palm is the highlight of this spark. if you say easily fly off or lost won't dji ruining it? i guess normally those incident of drone fly off or lost is after they use the palm launching n straight use phone or rc to ascended it. the gesture mode with launching from the palm is meant for just selfie shoot or short distance pic or video only. not meant for flying high. if need to fly up higher better take off from the ground instead. just my two cents la.. haha

errr.. that time first time attempt hence kind of panic cause can't reach. it was hovering at certain height where i'm unable to reach including my friends too laugh.gif . hovering there non moving until battery depleted and indicated low battery. so i was scare it will drop or etc.. so i try to use phone to go make it down but then suddenly the spark gone haywire and drift loh. tongue.gif
