Discussing about cpe devices...
Normally people will suggest the Huawei B310s-22 and E5186s-22 but rarely suggest/discuss about the B315s-22 and B593S-22...
How do you guys think about the latter?
From imho if want to choose Huawei B310s-22 it is wiser to pick the B593s-22 just top up abit(price from taubao of course)
which is better specs on ports....

my points:
1.E5186s-22(300mbps) maybe too pricey for me (rm5XX onwards)
2.B315s-22(150mpbs) better top up for #1 above(rm4xx onwards)
3.B593s-22(150mbps) not much support around the net for tweaking...?not sure about this.. sweat.gif(early rm3XX)
4.B310s-22(150mbps) most attractive overall specs/price(rm2XX-3XX)

my situation:
1.lte-a not available on my area(from digi map) dont have any device to try out... cry.gif
2.coming from mr3020(goldenorb)+E398+external antenna(current speed dl peak hour 30mbps avg. off peak 50mbps max) but
upload a bit slow max out only 10mbps on both.

Any thought is highly appreciate...
Thanks guys....

Well, you already have a working setup with decent speed. There's no point upgrading to anything with similar specifications.

E398 with Qualcomm modem is actually more stable than some Huawei Cat4 Balong modem.

Hi, i've been told that there is a network congestion issue here in seremban. I got less than 5mbps download speed which is far from usual i can get (20mbps).
Anyone having this issue before, did digi able to resolve this actually? Cz they said this issue should be resolved last friday, but till now the speed is still the same

Try google. Coz I also beginner. Can't really know how to teach you.
I set my VPN client directly to my router. I do not use pc for p2p.

Recommended Modem and Routers:

Getting a LTE-A carrier aggregation router is recommended. It is able to perform better by combining 2 cells (B3 and B7). You can reach speed up to 80Mbps if you are lucky. brows.gif

You can test with a LTE CA capable device such as Samsung S7, S8, iPhone 7 etc.

If there is no LTE CA at your location, a Cat 4 150Mbps modem is good enough if you do not care about future proof. tongue.gif

Carrier aggregation capable modem:
Huawei E5186 modem router ~RM600
• Able to support more users with better signal as it is a modem router.
• Avoid the s61a version over concern that it may not support carrier aggregation. Get the s22a version.Tools for Huawei E5186
Huawei E5787 mobile hotspot ~RM800

Other modems
Huawei E3276 USB modem 150Mbps ~RM250
Huawei E5776 mobile Hotspot 150Mbps ~RM300
Huawei B310 modem router 150Mbps ~RM350

More on thread #2

Common Tips:

  • Torrent is limited to 64Kbps, get yourself a VPN or seedbox
  • Private IP is provided
  • Download the MyDigi app to file a complain.
  • Put your modem near your window for the best signal.

Yes, device does matter but not in my case. Tried Samsung, TP-link, Huawei and Xiaomi. All same result at my place. The only place that has great speed at Sungai Petani is Tesco Selatan. No problem to get 60mbps there.

Replied from Digi -  complainant may not be experiencing optimal signals indoor especially during peak hours due to network congestion at the said location. The serving site currently carrying high number of LTE users and utilization rate also high up to 90% during peak hour.

Resolution-

1) Tentative timeframe for network enhancement:-
- Feedback has been highlighted to the planners for the future capacity upgrade. Tentatively by Q4 2018

2) Reasonable rebate/offer:
- Monthly rebate RM20 x 6 months. Complainant declines the offer. Account does not contracted.

3) Interim solution
-No enhancement work or new site plan for now.

Wow great to know that the speed at Sg Petani can reach 60mbps
Only 15-18 mbps indoor at my area (near Taman Aman, Sg Petani)

GSM fax service is a special add on, i know maxis last time had it. But i am not sure digi.
But even digi has it, you can't just use the telephone port with that, because gsm fax need hardware+software support.

Lol.I wonder why i get good speed, 1.5MB/s during speedtest. But when i download something, the speed barely reach 300KB/s..i could get the 1.5MB/s download speed after about 5 to 10 second after finished testing speed in speedtest app.after thay, drop to 300KB/s.is this stupid marketing stunt by digi? Throttling download/utube but not speedtest. So that people can show off the speedtest result hmm.gif

Actually I am getting quite consistent speed thru out the speedteet compare to streamyx.

I tested with prepaid for 1 week before going to infinite. My speedtest not even outstanding but it's consistent

My youtube steaming at 1080 also good. No buffering..

And downloading video also quite fast

Maybe it's the location.and coverage not suitable for ur place.

Not all servers around the world where you download the file from can provide you your maximum speed.
They also have bandwidth and have to cater for multiple users at the same time.
