2 kinds of E5186 in the market. Modified and normal.
The firmware update procedure I posted previously will update the firmware+webUI for those with normal E5186. BUT, it will only update the webUI for those with modified E5186.

Normal E5186 are those that come with carrier branded UI and still able to receive web update.

For those modified E5186, we need to switch it to factory mode in order to update it. Most E5186 from Taobao are modified. And, it may brick some E5186. For most people WebUI is sufficient.

Since mine is tele2 carrier, should i using tele2 firmware first? Then only upgrade to other carrier such as lmt?

went to maxis, subscribed to go wifi 78. bought the b315 together without contract. sweeeeeet......

no noticeable difference with using mf93d. but the wifi coverage now covers whole house and not just the immediate 5mtr.

the 78 sim, i'll use in another device. good thing about this new go wifi from maxis is, i'll be able to put rm15 multisim subline to share the internet with more device. sweeeeet....

dalam rumah dapat 2-4mbps je..dan line tak stabil..so macam tak berbaloi untuk bayar RM150..

Long time I never check the price but last checked cheapest was RMB 880 like that. Price increased a lot. I got mine RMB 700 in April.

How to sell cheaper when the cost is so high?

One forummer PM-ed me to help him to buy via Taobao as he cannot read Chinese (a Malay chap) and he generously gave me RM 50 as duit raya.
I managed to secure one last unit for him at RMB 780 after searching and checking with different sellers on Taobao. I also helped him to buy the antenna and everything sent to him directly. He got it right before Raya.

Anyway, I really don't have time to do it in case someone wanna PM me.

hi..anyone in jb could borrow me the modem and the equipment to test the line in my house for 1day?.dont worry, it will be better if you can come beRAYA aswell..just want to test the line with proper modem.

i already test with ip6 and the speed is not that good for RM150 hence i cannot afford to gamble on RM200-300 modem that cannot guaranteed any improvement..haha..

this is serious offer..come beraya at my house and test the line sambil makan kuih raya  and if the test success i will plan further buying the modem myself.
