i just wondering, if there is a mifi/mobile hotspot router that has the capability of call. The call can be transmitted from the router to the smartphone via apps.

Nop.
But in future, there may work with wifi calling function.
*
i was thinking of puting my digi postpaid 50 under the family plan which cost rm28. cheaper. but the call is only for 50 minutes. its a bit troublesome to change simcard just only for the sake of using the unlimited call.

just came back from digi store. Managed to change my postpaid 50 to family plan and put under infinite 150 plan. RM28. Cheap compared to RM50. and managed to do MNP request from celcom rare 38 plan (3gb + 3gb bring forward). Just forget the celcom plan, and get the 28 plan. still have free calls and still 3gb wat.. so still untong.. next maybe port in my maxis line the maxis one 98 plan which i managed to get rebate RM30 for life.. that is 20gb. what do u guys think? should i MNP my maxis heavily rebated account to 28digi family plan? or i just stick one final line with maxis.

Ive also found something interesting to pair with the E5186 router. Antenna

i think its really worth it.

celcom rare 38 plan (3gb + 3gb bring forward)

I'm also using rare plan from celcom it is not 3gb bring forward. it will bring forward any unutilized usage up to 6gb
meaning can port in from celcom 38 plan to family plan 28 under 150 infinite meh? that is a good news i also wanna request that

I think i wanna move also because in july digi also will activate their new band 900Mhz...their coverage will get a similar frequency like celcom and maxis...
Then Axiata and Maxis need to hardwork with digi in the future

DiGi is better nowdays because of TeleNor much more stronger then Axiata
*
Yup. All within one day. Settle today. I got my Sim for infinite. Sim for MNP, router ee60 from Alcatel.

It seems that maybe the router got limitation. The speed test was not that good compared to my wife DiGi iPhone. I might need to test the infinite Sim directly to my phone.

The ee60 doesn't support LTE-A looking from the specs.

To me, as long as there is no hiccup 20mbps should be sufficient. Really worth it as we don't need to worried about data quota anymore. Going to terminate my maxis home fibre 10mbps soon.

And one more..

This plan will provide u with a sim card with a phone number attached to it. If i put this sim card into a mobile modem, other than receiving internet signals, is is correct to say I can't use it to make phone calls?

Do i need to register 2 account with one being use as normal phone+ Internet; another use as mobile modem but cant make phone calls?
*
yes. this is what i understand. for now, there is no mobile modem that can transmit call from router to phone connected to wifi. But for SMS, u can by using the apps created by the router developer.

If u dont want to have 2 separate sim card, and u are not that mobile either, then i would suggest u to use a router with R11 port at the back. This port can connect any R11 phone and then u can use the unlimited call attached to this infinite plan.

3-5 mbps download and upload. Sorry to make u sad Bro. It's reality. Go for maxis if u want 4g. Or if u want 4g digi, then make sure the modem is near to the windows.

GG just came back from Singapore.
Roam like home is not working
I've turn on the roaming on my router and also tested on my iPhone 6s plus. no 3G or 4g logo seen. Only network star hub shown. Maybe the roaming data is not yet activated. So I will test again during Raya.

Is it possible to signup for the Infinite 150 and another basic supplementary family plan RM38 and share the Internet with a RM10 topup? RM38 use as home broadband, Infinite 150 as my mobile plan.

I'm a low usage user (probably around 20GB per month), but the cost is cheaper than my current Unifi (for home) and Digi 75 for my mobile.
*
family plan is only for RM28 plan. U cant share the internet from the infinite 150.

You can check Roam Like Home usage in MyDigi app. It has allocation for Roam Like Home's voice and data. See if there's any reduction, if there's then no issue. If it's not showing or deducting then oh oh.
*
yup. before that u cant see it. maybe thats the reason the service is not available during the first day of activation

but seems the stats to be lari a lot.

Usage at Router shows 3gb used. But the DiGi apps only shows 500MB

Hopefully nothing happen and it doesnt use any data from any other telco as i set it to auto on selecting carrier. But as far as im concern, the router is choosing Starhub always everytime i look at the status.

But what i learn now is, u need to activate it before u go overseas at least 24hrs.

Or else, u cant use it.
