Hi, Fruitie.
Is it you bought Huawei E5186 from Taobao?
could you recommend me which seller you get it?
How much?

*
Yes, from Taobao.
You can easily find seller for this model, make sure yours is 22a.

I'm using Huawei E8372 on TP-Link mr3220 router. It is okay to leave it turned on 24/7 or should I turn it off at night?
*
Can. Since last time, I never turn off my router.

Network signal guru works quite well and has the same function to check network band and carrier aggregation but it only works on Qualcomm chipset devices
*
And only can work on rooted phones.

Don't simply update firmware, may not be compatible with our networks later. Since ours are mostly reflashed unit.

Good another black router owner. laugh.gif

I'm officially back to wireless broadband after three years. Of course I feel odd with such high ping but the convenience beats it all, after all I don't play games. laugh.gif

Simply test test.

Come on telcos, bring in the unlimited plans game. flex.gif

You are not using carrier aggregation?

CA is slower due to slow B7. My B3 itself beats both CA and B7 only hands down.

Weird. hmm.gif

CA should use both B3 and B7. Let me experiment further when my E5186 is with me.
*
Either that or my house has no LTE-A coverage.

Wow, that's something I didn't consider. Test on B3.
Now I am getting 14Mbps against 12Mbps with CA.

Though..if I only need single band...waste money to buy E5186  sweat.gif
*
biggrin.gif Well, at least it is future proof. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Plus, you can toggle with the toolbox. biggrin.gif

No configuration needed, just put in SIM card and that's all.
Of course you will need to go to Huawei configuration page to set password for your WiFi and whatnot.
