Hi All,

May I know how frequent usually does the promo on RinggitPlus refreshes?
I have been holding my application for MBB and UOB card, thought of waiting any sign-up offer on RinggitPlus to appear for the two said banks.
But they usually only comes up with Citi and HSBC promo..Do they actually have sign-up offer for MBB and UOB? If no then I will just proceed to apply don't want to wait liao..

Thanks.
*
weekly, every Monday

they publish new promos in their FB, that's the simplest way to follow

by the way is this a good timing to apply CC now because BNM recently revised the payment card reform framework right? So that means whatever benefits/AF that all the CC having now could be revised by next year?
*
that depends on how desperate you want to reap the benefits NOW smile.gif

if banks are proactively revising their card benefits, they need to inform at least 21 days in advance.

BNM PCRF doesnt stop banks from offering card benefits, just that bank's interchange fee (minor txn revenue, but would snowball to substantial amount due to volume of txn) is impacted. of course, decrease in revenue --> logically, banks revise/remove/replace the benefits.

from another angle, if everyone churning their cards, banks also losing other potential revenue (cc interest, fees, etc) sweat.gif

who knows, banks may continue with current benefits? if so, you are already losing the benefits from now (loss of opportunity) biggrin.gif

if banks revise/remove/replace (who knows when), you are still losing some benefits between now and then.

no need think so far lah. let banks handle their business. we quickly and continue enjoy the card benefits, as much as we possibly can. thumbup.gif

If i topup e wallet RM30K, then Duitnow to savings account or FD, i will have max of 50 days to pay back the RM30K before the due date.

If i have another CC with same credit limit, i just topup another RM30K to pay the first credit card. Then on the due date of the 2nd CC, i withdraw the RM30K FD to pay back the RM30K.

Reason to do this - to get the dividend of at least 30 days.

Is it possible?
*
theoretically, can

do check the...

1. ewallet wallet size
2. ewallet txn/withdrawal limit
3. ewallet terms of use/t&c

Hi guys,

Anyone here tried applying for CC via imoney?

Safe?

I just tried but the agent seems very suspicious. And wana push other CC instead of the 1 I applied for.

Should I just go with my gut feeling and apply directly via the bank?
*
why not direct to bank from the beginning?

it's always better to deal with bank directly.

A no0b question....
If the card expiry says 04/23, does it mean it can be used until end of the month (in this case, 30/04/2023), or cannot be used on 01/04/2023 onwards?
*
from what i know, valid till whole month (Apr 2023)

usually banks would/should reissue a renewal card few months ahead.

yesterday, i just received maybank renewal card 3 months advance (expiry 02/23) biggrin.gif

you should put your criteria instead of generic 1-liner statement

try affin duo+

3% but no min spend. always in my wallet for adhoc spend like f&b

Hi all! I’m interested in using Apple Pay to make purchases and I know Maybank cards are accepted. I currently only have Citibank cards.

Out of so many Maybank CC, may I know which one would you suggest I should apply for just to utilise it together with Apple Pay?

Just a simple CC will do. I’m not overly concerned with Cashback. But if there is no annual fee, that’s great.

But if I open a current or saving account in Malaysia, I have to transfer the funds from abroad to local banks and then from the account make the payments. Will the bank question where the fund came from and block my account even if I proof to them?

Thank you
*
during CASA opening, they will KYC you already, eg source of income, etc etc

if for cc payment using your overseas account, feel free to contact the bank CS immediately to find out the answer. at least they can tell you what are the official procedures, limitations (if any), rules & regulations (if any), etc

Im interested on AFFIN BANK Visa Signature which stated separately from Duo+.
But I only found Duo+ to apply.
Actually how to apply solely the Visa sigature?

user posted image
*
technically, VS is still valid for existing cardholders until its next renewal to duo+ automatically.

new application will be issued with duo+ only.

so, you can't apply VS anymore.

So, 2 days ago, relative renewed driving license at post office and can pay by credit card.

Post office inside 1 utama. Is this a normal trend?

The one near my house is cash only. Last visit 3 months ago.
*
possible, as POS Malaysia is doing digital transformation to their payment channels.

better try survey other POS outlets see if they doing the same.

check yourself, we don't know which card/bank you qualify

1) visit each bank website. find out promotion for new signups

2) visit RinggitPlus website

3) visit CompareHero website

finally, read and understand the t&c for each signup promo.
