Can, they will list u as not potential return customer je. I cancelled citibank ages ago with good record, keep call me back  vmad.gif

Never ever citibank again
All spending cash back alot t&c my friend, read through I no interest sudah. Plus I am not a crazy spender, I only use what I need, hence the number of cards I have.
At one point I have 12 cards, including hongleong mach, citibank cash back and uob vox. But mach annoying for the 10 transaction thing, citibank customer service centre is shit, uob vox no more utilities/bill cashback. So cancelled all these cards. Left 12 now

I know how to manage thanks to kind people in forum and fruittie!  rclxm9.gif

And I educate people around me about cards benefit coz why not, knowledge is power. Any nice cc recommendation for utilities/bill cashback like uob vox?
*
sweat.gif since when m2 amex got a lot TnC? Its the card have no TnC, u just swipe ur Amex during weekends every weekends possible will do. Included paying to government transaction like PTPTN/LHDN, paying utilities bill, etc. Many cards cannot do this.

Guys, I'm just wondering how bank approve credit card actually?

I applied for a basic card from CIMB, BSN, both of them rejected my application.

I have been working in a 2 company for 2 years

My commitment only PTPTN, telco and insurance.both under my name but car is under my dad name but I pay it every month.

I do have tunggakan with PTPTN but is this the reason they reject my application?

I want to use the credit card mainly for FUEL only. I'm not a big spender.

one i applied direct thru website and another one thru Ringgit Plus
*
Yes, they nowadays so strict on PTPTN tunggakan. Make sure you pay the monthly payment on time. Else they won't approve any credit card to you. As your CCRIS report not nice because of PTPTN already.

total of cl from credit cards will affect new card application?
*
Probably yes, which aligned with your total income.
If you have the maximum credit limit which you should have with your current income,
perhaps others bank unable to approve ur application anymore.

Call to CS but end up no reason given, just asking me to cancel my supplementary card and reapply after 6 months again.

Just a question, is supplementary card under my name may affect the credit score?

May i know which bank offers the lowest exchange rate and lowest conversion/admin charges for overseas transaction?
I remebered that i used mbb cc in hong kong few years ago without extra charges apart from exchange conversion.
Just called up mbb today, and was informed the conversion charges for visa/master is about 2.25% and amex 2.5%.
Could anyone shed some light?

Thanks
*
As I know which is PBB/Ambank/Aeon.

Advise you to check your CCRIS report.

thanks for the answer  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

I have another question, I researched about credit card. Some America websites say that we should not exceed 30% of our credit limit to maintain a good credit record. Is it the same in Malaysia?

Is 1. better than 2. ?

1.
First card usage = 1500/5000
Second card usage = 1500/5000

2.
First card usage = 3000/5000
Second card usage = 0/5000
*
For the both scenario actually it's the same to calculate utilisation of credit limit. Also 3000/5000.

Oh forgot to mention that both cards are from different banks.
*
Then also same. At the end ccris show the total utilisation percentage. It also like 3000/10000.

Do I need to submit income documents for every card application or only the first one with a bank
Rephrase : If I already have a card with a bank, and I wanna apply a card with a lower income requirement, do I need to resubmit my income docs?
*
U mean the same bank? Same should be no, just request add card with bank since it sharing same limit. Different bank of course need submit everything as fresh application

Hi all,  I have a question regarding outstanding balance calculation.

Lets say my statement day is 28th each month.
and the free interest period is 20days which is around 18th of the next month.

I know that if I don't settle the outstanding balance in full before 18th I will be charged interest in the next statement day.

However, if let's say I paid half of it before 18th, then pay the other half of the outstanding balance on 20th (after free interest period liao) then how is the interest being calculated?

Assume interest rate is 18%.

Is it 2 days X 18/100 / 365days X (half of the outstanding balance because half not paid after the free interest period)  ??
*
Basically yes, and also add on any new purchases between 18 to 20th. If you not paying full, new purchase also kena interest.

Im using maybank ikhwan petronas card. Say i want to buy phone priced RM2,000.

Can I pay partially  RM1,000 by cash,  and the rest RM1,000 will be paid by the 12 months installment plan? Or it depends on the merchant?
*
Depend on merchant. But normally they will accept it.
They just accept the cash and swipe your card with remaining balance of RM 1,000, remember tell them you need to opt for installment.

Check your CCRIS report, mostly could find answer from there.
