So its the first month of the year and its the time to pay those government cukai pintu, tanah etc

I used to use Hong Leong Sutera to pay on weekend, because they used to award 3x points on weekend on all types of transactions, guess they have ammended it and no point awarded now for these payments.

1. So would like to ask all experts here which card best to use for these transactions?

p.s. I also just got my cimb enrich credit card last month and according to their ongoing programme named "CIMB Enrich Acquisition", spending 3k/6k/18k within 2 months of approval date will be awarded 10k/30k/60k enrich points respectively which is very generous. I've read through the terms and conditions and government spending is not excluded from the calculation of the spending, which I found quite surprise because they excluded insurance and takaful expenses but not government charges? hmmm...

2. So my question is anyone able to clarify on this? Will reach 18k easily if cukai pintu can be included in the spending.

no such thing as "refund" or "waiver".

use 10k TPs to redeem RM25 for SST.

Why there is still retailer that impose 2% surcharge during credit card payment?  Do we need to lodge a complaint?
*
why not? there are many ignorant merchants doing unscrupulous act.

there is no direct enforcement to curb it.

keep complaining to relevant banks/parties or dont do business with them.

Don't know whether complaining to bank they will take action or not.
Currently I'm asking for wedding packages from bridal shop in alor setar. Every shop need to impose surcharge when using cc.
It's a flagant violation, but they doing it openly asking for it. What the hell.
*
yeah, the regulatory and banks are not taking firm action to correct this unethical behavior.

it's already a wrong practise, yet if no one taking stern action against them, it becomes a norm. mad.gif

only way is keep complaining.

anyhow, try propose bridal shop to use bigpay laugh.gif

i did it to mine, until both parties are transacting via bigpay. furthermore, bridal shop can use the fund in bigpay for their goods/services payment too. easy for them. also, bridal shop reduce using cc terminal which charges hgiher MDR fee.

just some idea laugh.gif

yup, my first CC.

My credited bank is Maybank

since my salary not eligible, Maybank CC out from the option

Currently I'm waiting from RHB representative

Citibank straight rejected my application, i thought they can at least mention why (due to loans/salary and etc) sad.gif
*
iinm, citibank is picky to newbies to cc (no credit history).

rejection may not be solely from 1 specific factor/reason.

banks compute your score/risk assessment from variety of factors, probably either they cannot tell (except putting more effort to drill) or internal P&C (the algorithm to compute)

also, it prevents ppl from frauding their documents in order to "pass" the bank's assessment.

if you think you have a very solid case (with good documentation and justification), alternative is to escalate to BNM (some did that) and gotten the actual rejection reason. but then again, it's really not worth the time/effort just to know the reason.

just move on with other banks/cards, then with steady stream of income and credit history, circle back again to Citibank.

yep, but ~50 days interest free if you spend on 25-Dec only.

the 20-day interest free is from bill date, not not everyday spending will get ~50 days.

Hello guys,

wanted to ask a newbie question. How does credit card interest free period works? If say my card provide 20 days interest free, does it count from statement date onwards or from transaction date?

My card is RHB reward and cashback card if this info may help you to understand my question better.
*
illustration above

to earn the 20 days interest free, must clear your statement balance in full for your previous statement.

if you diligently pay off your statement each month, by due date, then each following months got 20 days interest free period.

Hello anyone here having experience uplifting FD pledged for CC?
Here's my situation:
Last year, I went to Maybank to apply for M2C Gold (salary was qualify for FCB VS / M2C Plat). But for some unknown reason, they rejected my application. So I asked if I can pledge for the card. They requested 5k and I pledged. The CL for my M2C Gold is 5k.
Then after few months, I applied for FCB visa signature (at The Gardens CC Center). Within 1 day, they approved my application and got my card. Then I checked my CL, it is increased to RM10k.

Question:
Since I already eligible for FCB Visa Signature, and got the CL of 10k, can I still uplift my FD without surrendering my M2C Gold? I don't know why they rejected my application in the first place sad.gif
*
dont think so.

you could be still be pledged for 5k, then mbb increase additional limit of 5k only, not a full 10k to you. 10k to you is 5k+5k to mbb.

Hi, anyone can introduce me a credit card that got cashback on medication? Cause my father will admit hospital for knee surgery soon and the fee should be RM50K. So I was thinking there is any credit card with unlimited cashback yet can use to pay for hospital surgery fee? (too good to be true???)

If any, can please introduce? Or else, which will be a better choice for this.

post in right thread

you SHOULD cancel if no plan to use. of course unactivated card can be canceled.

do not leave it unattended. you might get SST charged, even if it's not activated.

if new-to-bank, roughly 2 weeks.

they would call you roughly 1-2 days after submission. their follow-up is quite good.

Hi guys, is there anyway to pay EPF via Credit Card?
*
directly from cc, no

indirectly, possible. topup to few ewallet/apps, e.g. Boost or Bigpay, then withdraw the fund out. thoroughly read the respective T&Cs.

how much u want to deposit to EPF?
