You mentioned withdraw the fund out, meaning we have to visit EPF counter to pay for it?

What will happen if I dint activate my creditcard that i just received?

Can i still cancel my cancel card even i just received one month ago?
*
no major issue except SST might be charged even without activation and recorded in your ccris record.

of course you can cancel it anytime, even after receiving the card, or even after receiving activation sms (without card on-hand).

best practice, dont leave the card unactivated. what's the point doing that? doh.gif

Wanna ask, assuming i have applied balance transfer and every month i need to pay RM1K for 6 months. At the same time i utilized another rm1K on the card itself. So by due date i need to settle rm2k. But if say i only paid rm1k, how will the interest be calculated? Since the interest on the balance transfer and the credit card is different right?
*
depends what type of BT.

if the BT is charged into CC, then all the statement balance (spending, BT installment) will face same interest treatment (because the installement is just a charge in the cc, just like any spending charges).

Can I instruct the bank to stop my cc auto billing for subscription like utilities and phone data/call plans subscription?
Because lazy to deactivate auto billing one by one... Then not sure if next month still charged by merchant's auto billing system.
*
post at general thread, dont open new topic.

for autobilling, it depends on how the autobillingis setup by the merchant. usually 2 ways: by merchant or by bank (thru merchant).

you need to contact each merchant and ask.

even if you simply cancel the card, the CS may ask you whether u have any autobilling charged to the card. they will know, they need you to make the ncessary arrangement with the respective providers/merchants to cancel it before card cancellation happens.

if you dont, card cancelled but autobilling still works, and keeps failing. you may forgotten this in following months, bill payments not paid, penalty (if any), etc etc

For income tax payment using credit card, can I make split payment using credit card ie. using two different cards? 0.80% fee is charged based on the amount right?
See if can maximise cash back..
*
yep can.

So what's the easiest way to cancel auto billing? Can call CS to deactivate?
*
already replied above: you need to contact each merchant and ask.

Aside minimum payment, by cashing out from the same credit card to make the full payment should also work right?
*
your wording "cashing out from the same credit card" = cash advance from credit card --- comes with a fee

credit card -> bigpay = spending
bigpay -> atm = withdrawal/cashing out, it has nothing to do with credit card anymore

"Withdraw 10k from BigPay thru ATM machine" --- so far not possible to withdraw 10k one-shot. atm has limit to the amount of notes inside. most tried 4k per withdrawal + RM6 per withdrawal free

Sorry just for ignore the cashing out part, I am referring to BigPay

I know withdraw from ATM using BigPay there’s charge but its fine with me

So with the first deposit Bigpay, withdraw and pay to my credit card method I assume the statement balance can be clear and another 10k will due in next cycle without any penalty charges or not affecting my credit scoring?
*
alexwsk already replied above. as long as your cc statement is cleared EACH month in FULL, credit scoring wont be impacted.

unbilled outstanding (your "another 10k" but not yet statement-ed), will be tracked later once statement is out and new DUE DATE is to be observed again. pay in full, clear. lapse in payment, good luck.

Just got 2 unauthorized transaction using my cc. Called the number behind the card and filed a dispute also cancel my current card. Question, how long usually the dispute will take place and roughly when I can get the money refunded?

And another one, if the bank identified them as a fraud, does the scumbag who did these transaction still enjoy what he/she purchased? It looks like they used my card for travel booking in NZ cause the amount was displayed as NZD dollar. I wish to get my money back but I wish more that their attempt will be unsuccessful.
*
as long as you reported it immediately, should be fine.

the fraud transaction is actually in floating status, so not yet charged to your card. bankj can flag it as fraud and block it from going through (fraud merchant tries to claim the transaction and get the money)

bank will cancel your card and replace with another. just wait for a new card and you're good to go.

DO NOT wait for few days to report fraud transactions, cuz once the fraud transaction goes thru and posted in your credit card account, you will have to fill up the dispute form to reverse the charge (tedious and takes long time).

Hi all, I have a question.

If let say I want to cancel my HLBB credit card (make full settlement already) I have to go to branch or can cancel through phone call? Do I have to make a letter/notice for the cancellation? Thanks!
*
just call would do

make sure they terminate the card completely, not suspension.

QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ May 23 2019, 10:45 AM)
I got 3 0% Maybank credit card instalment.

One which will finish November 2020 at amount of RM195 (I call this A)
Other two which will finish this November 2019 (RM110, call this B) and December 2019 (RM184, call this C).

I have the cash to pay off two of my instalment. But I am not sure if I should finish off

A+C
or
B+C
or
A+B

Any suggestion which should I pay off first? I'd like to ease off before I get my house key this November 2019
*
all installments for A + B + C are being charged into your cc on statement date. you cannot choose which installment to pay off because you need to pay the whole statement amount/balance.

alternatively, do early settlement for either A, B, or C, or any combination that suits you.

I did this before by just email it to Maybank like "Hey, I want to settle off my XXX from merchant XXX". The balance of the instalment will be credited to my Credit Card so I can pay it off.
*
as i wrote, do early settlement la. it's the same as you described.

Hi all,
1) may I know pledge FD to apply for credit card must be new funds? If I have a FD in a bank for few years which I had not and will not uplift in the near future, can I ask for that FD to be pledged in return of approval of a credit card instead of pumping new funds?
2) Do I have liberty to ask for the amount to be pledged so that the credit limit will equal what I desire?
3) interest on the FD belongs to me or the bank?
Thanks

Edit: Q3 added.
*
1) fresh fund is for promo FD. pledging for cc, you only need to place for board rate only, so fresh fund not necessary required.

2) pledged fd amount = credit limit, 1:1

3) interest/profit is yours. it's just normal FD placement. just the FD is tied to cc, so you cannot uplift it until the cc is canceled.
