nos duke 390 has been under 20k for some time already...

now if any pomen etc tht noes which part of duke is compatible wit dominar / pulsar..

then if anything wrong can use pulsar parts instead of genuine duke parts.

they share same oil filter, but the cost diff is alot.. if the filter is ktm chop vs bajaj chop.. lol...

Saw this 1996 GSXR SRAD for sale: https://www.mudah.my/Gsxr+750+srad-69039521.htm

What are the pros and cons of owning these old superbikes in Malaysia? I've heard that some like the old Honda Fireblades can handle daily use and reach over 100,000km on a stock engine. I'm guessing tires and spare parts will probably be expensive and harder to find? And also have to deal with four carbs... puke.gif

its a carb bike. if u know a workshop that can do a cun tuning on carb it should be alrite. but my guess its hard to come by.

the other thing is the parts. getting a part would be very hard and ol skool bike like this wear and tear must be alot. so u gonna spend alot on repairing/restoring the bike. unless u can get it for less than the price targeted (maybe around 12-14k) i wont think its a good buy.

Thanks, I know a shop but am not keen on constant carb tuning. Guess I'll just have to wait until Suzuki decides to do a retro fat-tail version of the GSXR biggrin.gif

Good points. These bikes in Malaysia always have a 'wildcard' feel to them for me, being so rare they must have interesting stories but also dunno if they've been well maintained or just trashed about.

I actually prefer the older MT125...in hindsight it looks like they used it as a 'trial' platform for the MT07's design?

Always find it weird how these smaller bikes have 'premium-looking' USD forks while the R25/MT25/R3/MT03 all use regular forks.

Hi all,

I went to see a 5 years old bike when I open up the fuel cap, I notice the tank inlet has few rusty spot. Is this normal? I suspect the rider must be knocking on his area every time he goes to refill. Please comment if you also come across this. Thanks.

The rust is inside the tank. Once you open the cap then can see it clearly. So I am not sure whether this will impact the engine in the long run

Bring to the workshop ask them to "Cuci" the tank and change the fuel filter (if the bike came with separate fuel filter)..or add one from the fuel pump (injector) or the tank fuel switch (carburetor) ..

Hi Guys,

I am newbie to bike.
need recommendation for moped bike to do daily weekday commute from nilai to klcc (around 45km 1 way).

Thinking about Yamaha 135LC because no clutch and liquid-cooled engine (some say good for long ride)
Do you guys have other suggestion?
