i tot its on sale already? my friend found it on bike shop, but not sure where.
sym vf3i, 183cc
price around rm8500

if u dont need clutch, then there is no such things, unless u take less cc bike like lc135 or wave etc.

or u can take scooter
*
Back then in 2017 there was a photoshop image of a 175cc kawa and yamaha that went viral. Up until now those big 3 still silent about it. Only 150cc was introduced by honda and yamaha, then Sym take the gamble introducing 185.

In my experience with ns200, with low cc like that you have to play the throttle in order not to stall the engine so I happen to suck at that. Bigger cc when you engaged the clutch, the power delivery went well that i can even finish JPJ test using only first two gears at most.

Those look pretty nice. Nicer the retro bike GPX is trying to bring in from Thailand.

Judging from photos the Brixton bikes appear to be EFI.

In UK, (I just read a review of it) they're sold with EFI and linked brakes meaning the foot brake actuates both front and rear while the handle brake is for front only. Wonder how this feels in real world use.

I think some old Honda UJMs and modern superbikes use this type of braking too (probably a more advanced version). I'm guessing this kind of setup would keep the suspension on both ends more balanced under hard braking. If the system properly distributes braking over both wheels if you just stomp the rear brake pedal it might also help to prevent rear wheel lockup by transferring part of the braking duty to the front wheel.

Wow new set up, usually the lever brake (handle) actuates the both front and back (80% front and 20% back).. now it is the foot brake for this bike..

good things about linked brake is your stopping power balanced out each time to pull that lever/stomp the peg...

Bad thing.. your rear brake pad will worn faster than the non linked brake bikes.. (beliep me)

Want to jump into retro hipster gentlemen's ride bandwagon .. but I sense will fail miserably .... look at Leoncino, a good bike but weak sales even though offered less than 30k...

Didn't learn from the experiences of other China bikes....

When cafe racers are too mainstream (just need to buy it, not build it), it'll lose its awesomeness.

Glad that I don't fancy classic look or I might fell victim to such scheme. The only thing that make sense to me when seeing a cafe racer is that they're replica of Grand prix late 1940s bikes.

tbh I just love the looks of cafe racers and cafe-style bikes and would buy one whether they are "in fashion" or not, if I had the money. IMO some of these factory cafe racers look quite good.

That said, I don't think these factory cafes will do well in M'sia. The bikes are too impractical for the price point and cafe racers are still very niche here. I bet they'd sell well in Thailand though.

hey selamat hari raya to all.

safely went back and forth from bangi to penang and then to bangi back for raya.

so was doing an experiment on my bike.

on the way back to penang from bangi:

1)fuel up my bike with those ron100 for like rm30 and still didnt get a full tank.
-overall i feel the throttle respond when using ron100 was better than ron 97 and it the engine revs faster too. thou i dont think its suitable for a long haul. i have to refill back at tanjung malim and another refill at tapah (im using shell so there are no shell station after tapah till juru).
for tanjung malim and tapah i just use ron 97 since i dont see much improvement. total cost from bangi to penang with ron100+ron97=RM60.

conclusion to the no (1) experiment;
well i dont see any significant improvement personally so i'll stick to ron97 after this. maybe once in a while i'll go for ron100 just for giggles.

so on the way back from penang to bangi:

2)i wanna try and save as much as possible. so i fill up my bike with ron97 for around rm20 (7 liters more or less if im not mistaken) and maintain speed of 115km/j though out the journey. its hard thou since yesterday was very hectic and sudden rain but i manage to get to tapah with 1 bar left and fill another 7 liters of ron97 (more or less). maintain the same speed till i reach bangi and still have 1 bar left.

so conclusion of the no (2) experiment is;
the bike can do a 14 liters of fuel for like 374km. i would say not too shabby

oh im riding yamaha r25

Nice. I use RON97 most of the time and RON100 when I get the chance. Much smoother for my bike. As for RON95, can really feel the difference to RON97.

Heh, I can't use RON97 really because I ride around 120kmh-130kmh (minus 7kmh for gps speed) and when I'm on Merapoh-Padang Tengku hiway will up the speed up to 150 or play2 top speed for few km. At such speed I will be burning my money faster with RON97 but yea occasionally did use it.
