Well that sucks considering aftermarket accesories are abundant here (and the fact that the stock exhaust is heavy and kinda ugly lol)

No wonder people afraid of JPJ roadblocks that much, Been through a couple polis roadblock, they don't really care as long as the mods are very obvious.
*
If you still retain the muffler and just change the slip on, it should be ok

Was stopped at a roadblock.
Proved that muffler ( the breadbox) is still there, just the slip on changed..... No issues. Lepas.

But if you do full system change, good luck.

In case you are wondering what muffler/breadbox I'm taking about....

However. Not all bike exhaust system is like this.
Mostly do not have the separate muffler ( breadbox).

new rider with nub questions:

1) do you lube ur chain everytime after riding in the rain?
2) do you lube ur chain everytime u wash ur bike and scrub ur chain?
3) Is 82 dirt buster on shopee a good cleaner for the bike and chain? for ninja 650, believe the chain have o'rings
4) is degreaser necessary? any recommended ones?
5) chain lube suggestions?

thx otai otai

It's very much depends on the lube you are using.
Those that get washed off easily, it's very to lube the chain more often during rainy season. If not, you may get rusts on the chain.

Degreaser or a chain cleaner is necessary.
Remove the old dirty lube and other stuffs from the chain before applying fresh lube.
Beware. Make sure the degreaser or the cleaner is oring safe.

i just use used engine oil
The engine oil will be flinging everywhere. Right?
Careful if it gets onto your rear brake rotor.

my brake rotor is on the other side
Yes I know that.

Just worry that the engine oil will fling over to the other side.
If no, then it's good.

i never really compare the cost of riding my big bike to work to cost of driving a car.

because the only thing i want to save is time. and have more time to do other things rather than to sit in the traffic jam biggrin.gif

another alternative is compatible filter made for motorcycle.

me and friends have been using putoline and hiflo oil filters for years now. cheaper than original filters and made according to bike specs
*
How much cheaper? Price difference?

any of you have experience with Michelin Pilot/Road tyres? recently got a pair of Road 6 fitted to my Z250 2022, I am 75kg with bike at 190kg~ ish (incl top box/engine guard).
my question is how much mileage can i expect out of these tyres?
*
I was on road5. I didn't look at the mileage
But lasted close to 3 years . My bike is about 230kg.
I'm not a hard rider as I use this bike mainly to commute to work only.
How long a tyre can last very much depends on your riding style and the air pressure of the tyre.

any 2022 KTM RC 390 owners here? contemplating to get one as a weekend bike/highway riding
*
Single piston, highway riding?
No thanks

And KTM? Errrrr.

I suggest you to get a Japanese brand bike, and at least a two piston bike.

Yeah... you see what I mean, right? It's frustrating as f.
It shouldn't be... something is wrong. JK

I've ridden highway speed with single cylinder, with or without crankshaft balancer, but smaller CC (not 400), so I can tell it's hand numbing.

I know someone who sold off his d400 after 3 months of ownership.
Reason? Vibration.

Taught me to keep an extra eye at bike lane entries.
I often see bikers just masuk into the bike lane without looking.
Approaching this, I always honk first. Just a beep.

Unless it is branded .
Never use cheapo levers. Especially brake levers.
I've seen cheapo levers break. Dangerous. Especially when you are half way braking.
