In case anyone doesn't know, GPX launched the Legend 250FI Twin in Thailand a few days ago. Price is 79,500 baht.

If properly priced, it would do very well here considering how well the Gentleman 200 is doing.

Yeah and dual discs up front with the usual GPX deal with YSS for rear shocks.

I prefer something more upright for this style of bike along the lines of Street twin or Interceptor 650, but this is going to lead to some nice customizations.

just change the handlebar..

thing is.. retro bike should sound like one..

but since its a china copy? engine, the engine revs too high...
eg regal raptor twin is also 360°

it wont sound like the old 360 firing engine of triumph etc..

Open face is easier to put on and take off. Less claustrophobic, less hot. Usually they are also lighter so your neck won't be strained after long journeys.

Same here. I always wear full face helmets. Saved my life once and I would have been injured or possibly even crippled if I was wearing an open face.

But at the same time, I do understand why most prefer open face. Depends on the rider and if the convenience justifies the reduced safety.

I know some one who had her jaw crushed in a bike accident.
Scar for life now.

Her face planted on the road when she crashed.

RM 12k direct conversion. Holy sheet. It's definitely not coming here then.

155...so same engine as R15 and MT15.

I don't wear these open face helmets, so I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me here. confused.gif

The user asked why Malaysians prefer open face, so I just answered his question because I understand those are the benefits of an open face helmet. He already knows that full face is much safer than open face.

No worries.
I'm just trying to share what may happen if a person choose convenience over safety based on a friend's true experience.

Oh, so they are bringing in ABS Leoncino 250. Last I saw it was just the RM13,888 one. That's great news.

I'm fairly sure based on the Thai prices that the Japanese manufacturers' classic offerings won't be coming to Malaysia. But in Thailand there are probably enough riders to justify having that many choices. Have to see if there is demand for these classic-style bikes that people may be willing to pay premium for.

Yeah, I get you. Personally I think in our country, I'm happy just seeing motorcyclists wearing proper safety-rated helmets, be it open face or full face.

It's much better than not wearing helmets at all, like the situation basilisk said above, which is actually still quite common even in city areas.

My personal choice would be CB650R. MT09 is far too much of a wild horse for my liking, and the standard suspension is quite bad.
