- "claimed by many" to have more aftermarket parts , modding parts are easily found online
hahaha not really lol, aftermarket stuff for r25 especially on the performace parts are quite hard to find... i have only seen a few performance aftermarket stuff
- easy handling (lighter weight than the ninja)
this is true. i kindda missed that nimbleness. my current bike is a leg day machine lol
- claimed by many to be the best performing bike in the 250cc bike category
best performing bikes "money to performance" ratio i think.
- includes all the necessary parameters on the lcd screen up to date (the new 2019 model will be using full digital screen, including the rpm meter)
the meter is ok la i guess... cant say much. even my current ride which is old af (12 years old) got LCD lol!
- easier to get parts (kawasaki is also said to be the same) compared to some other brand
dont know about the spare parts nowdays... i got a friend still waiting for his part and the bike was like how many months now at workshop lol...
Cons:
- bloody headlight is one sided , high beam will only turn two lights on.
lol of cos la....if i recall its mandatory for bikes to only have one headlight... dont quote me on that... most of the bikes nowdays have one light for low beam and one for high beam. also 2 headlights on would look like a car from far away. just my thoughts.
- a few recalls , but thankfully I havent kena any
i mean recalls are kindda good in a way. my r25 got 3 recalls, i only did one, the other two i did tell the new owner to do it himself if he wanted to. just book an appointment with HQ at sg. Buloh and u'll get free t-shirt while at it lol.
- heard not every slip on can be used on them due to the connecting area towards thea ccatalytic converter (have to recheck on this, I was told by some)
dont know... was running on a standard exhaust till i sold it.
- limited colour , though still not bad
i dont know about u but for me its more than enough lol.
- No abs , even on the newer models
true!
- normal brakes , nothing fancy
true, but i think its more than enough for me. i gotten into some trouble but the braking is sufficient enough to do a decent braking. just regularly change ur brake fluid and brake pad and u'll be golden
- tyres are nothing special , some have said it causes slipping while cornering though I've never experience it yet . But no biggie can always change
the factory's tyres are kindda bad on wet surface but excel on dry surface. i got like 12k km before i change to new tyres at the back and 20k km on the front.
Damn.. i miss that freaking bike...
