gold is really volatile. today can be 200/g, next month maybe 160/g. then ROI will be 0 and suffer losses, not to mention gold is deducted daily basis as admin charges. I want to invest in this, but I am still lackin in info and rather oblivious to investment right now.

If do not want to deduct admin charges daily then go for smart saver RM150 monthly for 6 months no admin charges, this promotion ends this 31 august.

I just now read more depth into smartsaver, smartsaver buys gold at lowest price everyday, but isnt it better to just save money and buy when the gold reach a certain low point like rm180/month and buy then? smart saver will buy gold even at rm250/g given if thats the lowest price of the day.

sorry a lot of question, I'm new to this

Yes you are right, both pro and cons. Can buy straight at low point like RM180 but remember with daily admin charges.

Where can I redeem real gold?
or hellogold is just another cfd?

Your answer is here

QUOTE(Joshua_ambrose @ Aug 7 2019, 12:07 PM)
Good afternoon. We charge a buy fee of 0.79% and a sell fee of 2%. On weekends, we charge an additional 2% for both buy and sell as the gold markets are closed.

Physical gold redemption consist of a few charges:

1) The cost of the bar itself which includes the current price of gold + bar manufacturing cost
2) Cost of courier which includes additional charges should your location be very remote ( as advised by the courier company we use )
3) Cost of insurance for the safe delivery of your gold ( 100% insured)

When you redeem physical gold from us, we do not ask you to pay for these costs in Rm but what we do is deduct it from your gold balance.

Let's look at the variables for redemption :

a) The manufacturing cost is based on the different bar sizes
b) Courier cost based on your location and weight of gold you would like to redeem
c) Insurance cost based on how many grams you would like to redeem
d) The price of gold that changes every minute

That is why we would be more than happy to inform customers on the redemption cost via our Contact Centre (1300-130-888) as the quote to them would be accurate. The last thing we would want to do is to provide an inaccurate quote to our customers. Do contact us and we would be more than happy to provide you with the 'exact numbers' which you have asked for. It would be easier to give a percentage but that is not accurate at all.

For your information, we are a company that provides the everyday person to be able to buy and save in gold. Most scam companies would promise you a certain return after a certain amount of time. We do not do that. We are a platform that gives people an alternative means to save for their future. There is nothing 'fishy' about the way we allow customers to buy gold as it is done via FPX or Boost. That just shows that we would like to have as much transparency as possible. After all, all FPX transactions are visible to respective regulatory bodies and Boost is ..well.. Axiata.

I believe that quite a few of the forumers here are customers and yes, they have asked questions about us being a scam before. My personal pride is seeing those forumers now actually assist others with the queries in the forum as they have and still are using HelloGold. I applaud you guys. Thank you thank you.  rclxms.gif

FYI....some big news coming soon. Keep a look out ya? This news would actually strengthen HelloGold's position as a company.  biggrin.gif

Still confused with the administration fees
It said that 2% annually.

Let say i buy 10g cost me 2000rm (for 200/g)

I will save for 1 year

Then 2% annually per month will cost me 1g++ for 1 years, so can we still say this is good investment?

And let say the price will be 250/g in the next year and still i will lose 200rm ++ tho

Anyone can explain this? Cause i already deposit and did not consider this in the beginning

From my understanding, i may be wrong (use estimate):

Buy time: RM200 per gram, Sell time: RM250 per gram.

When you buy there is a buy charge 0.0079 (0.79%).
Gold value per gram: RM200
Buy amount: RM2000
Buy charge (0.79%): RM15.80
Total gold brought in RM: 1984.20 (RM2000 - RM15.80)
Total gold brought in gram: 9.921 (RM1984.20/RM200)

After one month(30 days) admin fee in gram: 0.0163 (9.921gram x 0.02 x 30 / 365)
After one month gold you hold in gram: 9.9047 (9.921 - 0.0163)
Sell after one month, sell charge 2% in gram (if you sell): 0.1981 gram (9.9047gram x 0.02)
Total gold sold (gold value RM250 per gram) in RM: 2426.65 ((9.9047 - 0.1981) x RM250)
So total earn after one month in RM: 426.65 (RM2426.65 - RM2000)

1)Buy charge 0.79% in Ringgit.

2)Administrator fee 2% p.a. are charged in deduction in amount of gold that you are holding not ringgit. The deduction will start to deduct from your gold holding every 1st of the following month.

3)Sell charge 2% in gram.

Not charge RM40, its charge from your gold.

lets say 10g, will charge 2% which is 0.2g/year

but they charge monthly, means to be easy calculation.

0.2g/12 = 0.01667g/month deduction.

or RM40/12 = RM3.33/month deduction.

actually they calculated by (day of the mth)/365. divide by 12 is simplify calculation.

Cash in the hello gold wont get charged.
