The download queue does work..but not like the 360. My download stops when i started playing VF5 and resumes when i quit. Oh well, its a start. I'm cool with it.

i just dled the asian one, the file name is PS3UPDAT_1.PUP instead of PS3UPDAT.PUP, shud i amend it, or keeit it as is?

Are you sure? I read a few reports saying the download will still continue while in-game, and will only pause when you go online multiplayer. And, Sony did confirm support for background downloading while in-game yesterday.

Mine is JP console. And I cant play Tekken DR purchased from UK PSN store. I was told that was because of PAL restriction. However this problem only happen when using SDTV

- during BluRay/DVD playback
- during online multiplayer
- when playing PlayStation2 game
- when running Folding@Home
- during AV chat
- during system update
- and when using 'Settings' menu

is it save to update the firmware from other region?i was thinking of waiting till it release in HK website....coz my unit is HK(asian)version....coz the website says tat america firmware for america console only...if update in other region the compatibility is not guranteed

Hmm..ok. Well I might be wrong. I was kicking butt in VF5 for about 20 mins and when i quit, my 40MB download was still at 25% but once i was in XMB, it speeded up..so.. we'll see la.
