Oh no wonder i couldn't post my reply. U were creating v2. Nice!!
------

Anyways here's my reply to the problem with sixaxis
-------
^ Nope..nothing to do with the battery as mine is always full and it still happens. Could be the Wi-Fi that's interfering with the signal..but then again, the six-axis is Bluetooth. I have no other bluetooth devices in the same room also. Happens very frequently when i play Tekken 5:DR

What's Def Jam anyways? Fighting game?

Regarding the sixaxis problem, when that happens keep pressing the start button, u'll notice that the game wont pause. Happens to me many times already ...sigh

An alternative would be to place your PS3 into the DMZ. Here's the explanation from my Linksys router

QUOTE
The DMZ hosting feature allows one local user to be exposed to the Internet for use of a special-purpose service such as Internet gaming or videoconferencing. DMZ hosting forwards all the ports at the same time to one PC. The Port Forwarding feature is more secure because it only opens the ports you want to have opened, while DMZ hosting opens all the ports of one computer, exposing the computer so the Internet can see it.

Any PC whose port is being forwarded must have its DHCP client function disabled and should have a new static IP address assigned to it because its IP address may change when using the DHCP function.

I place my 360 into the DMZ for playing multiplayer online. I have no problems with my PS3 though. Downloads are superfast.
Actually, the way i see it, placing either the 360 or PS3 into the DMZ shouldn't be a security concern. Who would wanna hack into u'r your game console? tongue.gif

Things to try before u download from PSN
1) Reset u'r router/modem (dunno if u notice, the download speeds gets slower by the hour. Maybe its TMNET's doing, maybe its not)..so a fresh reboot of modem definitely helps.
2) Stop all u'r BT activities (this one is a must)

I downloaded TK5:DR is less than 2hrs and its about 555MB. Same for all other downloadable contents from PSN.

Also, most of us are on 1MB line i presume but mine seems to be capped at 1.5MB..so maybe that makes a difference? blush.gif

QUOTE(sub_zero @ Mar 19 2007, 09:59 AM)
imagine i downloaded gta hdd..800mb takes about 2 hours to complete..
but last week i tried to download motorstorm 400mb..it takes 2 days to complete!
or is it because of tmnut streamyx? always cut bandwidth but bill for every month is still the same tongue.gif

How's the golf demo, graphics any good? I'm too lazy to set up a Jpn account.
QUOTE(oniee @ Mar 19 2007, 02:07 PM)
It took me less than an hour to download Tekken...yes lately downloading large content seems very slow..took a while for me to get "Minna no Golf demo" ...but I think no matter what you do to tweak ur setting...ultimately we know where the bottleneck is...

a) If I created Singapore Account, I could only download PS3 Asia Content only. If I wanted to have US Content, I needs to create a US Account? The same apply if I wants to have Japan Content..

Yes

b) Does all ID (Singapore, US, or Japan) require credit card verification?

No, unless u wanna purchase items from PSN. U can download demos and trailers without a CC

c) When u say Singapore more cheaper...can u give me some example? i.e Tekkan 5 price

No idea, guess its cheaper in Spore.

d) To play online game (Resistance, Motors,) you needs a PS ID, right?

Without a PSN ID, u can't login, hence no multiplayer for u.

The BT headset is for communicating via voice chat with other ppl.

Tonight's Motorstorm is a no-go. I can't seem to get connected to the Motorstorm servers.

^ I might be wrong in saying this but Motorstorm does not have surround sound. Heck, u can't even hear the cars behind or beside u. Even when u ram into the other cars, u heard a small thud.. duh, that's a big disappointment for me in the sound department. U guys should try Ridge Racer 7, the surround there is phenomenal.

The download queue does work..but not like the 360. My download stops when i started playing VF5 and resumes when i quit. Oh well, its a start. I'm cool with it.

Hmm..ok. Well I might be wrong. I was kicking butt in VF5 for about 20 mins and when i quit, my 40MB download was still at 25% but once i was in XMB, it speeded up..so.. we'll see la.

QUOTE(Ninja @ Mar 22 2007, 04:54 PM)
Okay, I just read Japan official website, and they mentioned the following:
Background downloading will pause during the following occasion:
- during BluRay/DVD playback
- during online multiplayer
- when playing PlayStation2 game
- when running Folding@Home
- during AV chat
- during system update
- and when using 'Settings' menu

No u don't need a proxy server.
Remember these things are game consoles. They're not meant to be difficult to configure. Try not to complicate it for u'rself la. tongue.gif

Tonight what time? 11pm ok? As usual i have badminton sessions on Fridays.
I have a BT headset, paired it already..seems to be working but have never really tried it.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Mar 23 2007, 02:40 PM)
Anyone for Motorstorm/Resistance LYN-style tonight? I could set up the proper rooms/sessions if needed, but we need to agree on the time. Have yet to have the full experience with PS3 folks in LYN. Does everyone have bluetooth headsets, coz it would be more fun listening to the trash talk during the killings in Resistance or the car-wrecks in Motorstorm. tongue.gif

Can only manage tonight, im working tomorrow. sad.gif
