HI sis, do u notice any card with higher rebate cap?
Most of my air ticket transaction above 1.5k ...kind of waste to use Yolo and Aeon Big...Amex need to buy during weekend...
*
Please use recommendation thread. For now I can suggest SCB JustOne for flight tickets.
Anyway, OT here. Kindly reply in the appropriate threads.

I didn't get full RM 50 which I have expected... Lack of 4 cents, could be due to decimal thingy. I have tried calculating (in Excel) but still cannot tally. hmm.gif

I tried adding everything, then only *5%, still got RM 50.

I split line by line (as above) then only *5%, still got RM 50.

QUOTE(doremon @ Aug 2 2017, 02:51 PM)

*
I will not spend additional unless necessary.
Lack of RM 0.04, small matter for me, if required I can feedback to Maybank.

I don't know if spend on Uber will have it
*
It is not based on categories or anything, so long it is transacted on weekends, users will get cash back.

QUOTE(syazone @ Aug 2 2017, 03:04 PM)
it should be round down instead of roundup.
eg: RM511.78*5% = RM25.58 instead of RM25.59
*
Oh, this way now? I thought it will use two decimal points. hmm.gif
511.78*5% = 25.589...

u can do your own le.

for each weekend transaction, just apply 5% to the amount, then rounddown to 2 decimal.

u can refer the formula that i shared back in 2014 here

below, general guide when spending using Amex to avoid losing some cb due to rounddown method used by mbb:

for May and Jun, i got +1 cb.
for July, i got exact cb.

sweat.gif RM 0.01... I really don't feel like calling them for RM 0.01 difference. laugh.gif

I used to have this "sickness" when I was supervising payroll area, I will not allow even RM 0.01 discrepancy. tongue.gif Now I'm in another division, my "sickness" cures a bit but my curiosity still exists. laugh.gif

QUOTE(#Victor @ Aug 2 2017, 04:25 PM)
The correct amount should be RM49.97 if taken based on 2 decimals as it is and will not round up or round down.

Are supplementary cards entitled to cashback that is separate from the principal cards' cashback?

For instance, RM50 CB for principal card and another RM50 CB for supp card?

Combined cash back.

QUOTE(JamesBotak @ Aug 6 2017, 03:56 PM)
Please correct me if I'm wrong but Maybank's cash back entitlement period for each month is from the 1st to the last day of the month regardless of statement date, yes?

For example, cash back transaction period for July is from 1st July till 31st July and cash back will be credited on 1st Aug?
*
Half correct, half wrong in my opinion.

1) You were right that the cash back entitlement is from 1st until the last day of the month regardless statement date.
2) However, for transactions transacted at the last few days of the month and only posted in following month will be calculated as following month's cash back. For e.g. last Sunday was 30th July and you did a transaction but only posted on 1st August. You are still entitled for cash back but will be calculated as part of August cash back and it will not be credited on 1st August.

QUOTE(JamesBotak @ Aug 6 2017, 04:21 PM)
Perfect. So basically, for example July (and every other month), all retail transactions which were transacted AND posted from the 1st till the last day of the month, will utilize July's quota and will be credited on the 1st of Aug, yes?

Is this applicable for all MBB cc?

EDIT: To simplify it, basically any transaction that is POSTED in the month will be credited on the 1st of the following month.
*
Yes, correct. Applies to all MBB cards.

are they only applicable to some? i checked the one at putrajaya and only states 40%Le Meridian

Oh... I supposed so. I went to Le Meridien KL.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Aug 8 2017, 12:17 PM)
Buffet dinner it's 128 per person...so 50% for 2 diners would be 128/2 per pax = 64 per pax. Eh not bad wo.

EDIT: Eh it's different place...latest recipe and PRIME is 2 different restaurant? hmm.gif
*
Yeah, I remember it was 50%. Yes, two different restaurants. Latest Recipe is buffet while Prime is a restaurant.
I couldn't get my preferred time slot for Prime during puasa time, so I settled for Latest Recipe, honestly it wasn't that good in my opinion.
I will go back for Prime next time.

Never activated my Amex before until now but this message prompted.

Kindly be advised once you have activated your new PIN & PAY card, your current card (if any) will be deactivated immediately.

Does this mean it will cancel my other card? Or does it mean cancel the old Amex card?
*
Why didn't you activate your M2AmEx card? That's the only useful card for this combo.
