I think they purposely act blur one becos Amex they pay more.

I see the most ridiculous case is timberland shop.
During promo period of Amex, they will show the promo ad outside shop and they accept Amex.

However, during non-promo period, they simply tell u they do not accept Amex.
*
Boycott saje camtu tongue.gif

If they ask why, say you don't accept Amex lor

Two months ago got increased, but I'm apply this card two months ago lol
But still weird that they give me only RM5K credit limit, since even if based on the salary that should be EPF before the increments, it should be not so less lol
Nvm after i think next months later only i go submit since once next month then it will have three months payslips with the increments amount lol
*
Need at least 6 months before you can ask for an increase thou if you just apply.

Told you d, maybank very conservative.

Want huge limit? Try UOB or Citi.

Can get x8 ~ x10 of your salary.

For Le Meridien KL, does it mean only 20% discount for Gastro but the rests still follow the discount rate quoted in this site: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p.../PRO-Promotions

Dining privileges for the Premium cardmembers*

50% discount for two diners
40% discount for three to ten diners
30% discount for St Regis Langkawi and St Regis KL

user posted image

I'm interested in trying out Latest Recipe at Le Meridien KL or Celestial Court or Essence at Sheraton Imperial KL.
Or any of you have any experience with any of the KL restaurants listed above?
Just two diners with me included, weekends dinner, not necessary is western dishes, fine dining ala-carte is OK with us as we cannot stuff in so much of food if we go for buffet but if any of these offers good spread of high quality buffet, we may consider as well. biggrin.gif

Budget, let's say after 50% discount is RM 500? laugh.gif That makes up to RM 1k of total bill. tongue.gif

Thanks in advance! rclxms.gif Sorry, I'm a bit jakun lo.

Lego Warfare, any suggestion since you were the one brought up this discussion earlier? tongue.gif
*
I believe the 50% may apply to the highest end of cards ( World / Infinites ) while other cards are given lower tier discount.

You should call them ahead to confirm. I tried Favola and I did get 50% off when I paid with the Reserve.

Anyway, I will call for reservation and will ask them as well. smile.gif

Does this really works? How is the procedure like? And what about the limit? will they give 2x the amount of the FD?
*
Works - Yes. I used to put FD to MBB 2 Premier before my income exceeded the requirements.

1 to 1 limit only for FD. No such thing as 1 to 2.

One World Hotel's afternoon tea is one of the worse I've tried so far though lol.

Come to The Lobby Lounge at Ritz Carlton for Afternoon tea.

20% off with VI

St Regis afternoon tea also looks very nice. Yet to try Regis / Hyatt due to lack of CC promotion tongue.gif

Ritz Carlton afternoon tea so far is my favourite in Msia, tried there 2-3 times already but that was 2 years ago. I tried the Ritz Carlton in HK last year as well but it wasn't as good as the one in KL lol.

St Regis afternoon tea (drawing room) has 30% off with MBB cards, so no prob for you la biggrin.gif
Tried there 2+ weeks ago, not bad I might rate it on par with Ritz Carlton or just below.
*
30% for MBB? Must have missed out the promotion.

How's the parking at St. Regis anyways? Need to pay or free? tongue.gif

I'm going to Ritz again this weekend. Absolutely a good place to chill during the weekends biggrin.gif

Hyatt's chocolate afternoon tea thingy I also want to try. But macam no promotion from CC.

lol St Regis under SPG ma, but the 30% is the lowest discount from MBB compared to other SPG Hotels =.=
I made a mistake paying parking with TnG lol.. parking is not free, but you can get flat rate if you give the ticket to the Drawing Room for validation. Parking on Sat/Sun around 4pm should still be ok I think.

I don't think i can handle their choc afternoon tea... too much chocolate can be damn jelak. I usually prefer afternoon tea which has a good balance of flavours. If there is something rich and dense, I need something light, citrusy and refreshing to balance it out of I wouldn't even be able to get pass half way through the whole tea lol
*
Oh yeah, just noticed St. Regis is under SPG laugh.gif

30% quite low, coz 2 diner can usually get 50% for SPG.

Afternoon tea starts around 2+ no? Later 4 pm go 6 pm have to blah d coz they should be serving dinner around 6 pm.

Finally this thread got other discussion other than "I spend at XXX during weekends. Can I get cash back?" kinda question tongue.gif

Visa Signature card does it still consider a prestige card?
*
Nope.

70k VS, one of the lowest entry range for a VS card for MBB.

PBB VS still have some prestige due to the strict requirements to obtain one.

The only premium cards left for MBB is VI / M2 Premier / World Mastercard.

In fact, the World Mastercard charge you 1k upfront AF laugh.gif

Yeah..but the problem is non of the MBB prestige card you stated offered any cash back. Therefore, most of the prestige card is pretty useless for me...
*
Well, points worth more than cash back.

To get the maximum cash back from MBB VS, you'll need to spend RM 1,760 per month.

1 year = RM 21,120.00

You won't even get a waiver from the AF.

If that's the case which prestige MBB credit card you will recommend among the 3 types?
*
Depends on your usage?

If you are spending mostly on Amex, you can get the M2 Premier. Comes with the Amex Reserve for 5X points ( T&C applies )

If you are more well to do and can tahan 1k AF upfront, the world mastercard is a better option. RM 2 : 5 points ( RM 1 : 2.5 points but its a mastercard so acceptance rates should be higher than AMEX )

Be warned, M2P requires 80k spending to waive and World Mastercard requires 120k spending to waive the AF next year.

If your spending is > 100k per year, you can easily redeem a business class flight to London depending on where you redeem the points.

For more info, please refer to the Frequent Flyer's thread or etc. I am not qualified to give opinion on this matter yet tongue.gif

My opinion if purely wants to max CB the great combo would be M2C (Amex & Visa), Ikhwan and throw in PB VS and Quantum. You will have all grounds covered
*
He did mention from MBB purely.

Either way, see how they spend lor.

OT: How is this possible? Their approval rate is high if salary exceeds it. I know mine is due to PTPTN and they reject my application.
Sorry to OT but I'm curious.
*
No idea. I have a lot of BT in my cards actually. Maybe they consider it as high risk as my mbb card is usually maxed out every month due to spendings and BT.

Thus the rejection rates for cards like Aeon is actually not surprisingly for me.

Even when I applied for their housing loan, they only offer me the Platinum despite me requesting for the VS.

End up did not sign with then, went RHB and got the VI offered instead.

Disclaimer : I have ptptn prepaid for the year but end of the day, I'm still owing ptptn some money as I'm paying ahead of schedule already. Maybe if I cleared the ptptn, chances would be higher? I won't know :/

But looks like escalate to BNM no use, noticed others forumer done that, but BNM told to escalate to bank merchant instead. doh.gif
I also being charged recently at Dental Clinic & IT Shop.
1 is amount of RM 1190, and another is RM 150.
Not with small amount though doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
If everyone don't complaint, they won't be bothered.

I've raised few complaint to the merchant and BNM at the same time.

After that, when I revisit the outlet, they allowed me to swipe card already.

Just exercise your rights to the maximum.

For those sellers who want to charge 2-3% interest, just ask them to charge it to your card. They can't amend the tax invoice as that would affect their gst reporting. The difference between invoice and CC slip will be a proof that they are charging a surcharge. Banks will refund the difference within 7 days if you pressure them right.

Done this with UOB / MBB / HSBC / and whatever bank you can think of.

I used amex to sign a digi plan with phone  divide by 12 month . Is been 2 week , the outstanding dint show in my statement. Is this normal ?
What if I only activate the amex card , other one I don't activate . What will happen
*
The installment amount should be "dropped" at your next statement date latest.

Maybe because the digi store did not do settlement with the CC Terminal earlier.
