I just bought another switch lite (Pokémon) for my brother with 1 year maxsoft warranty for about RM650 from qishan.
Seems like the price hike doesn’t affect switch lite. |

QUOTE(Winning11 @ Feb 16 2020, 11:23 AM) Just got a switch with Zelda for me and mk8 for my kid. I guess the games should last me for 6 months or so as I think I only will have the chance to play during the weekends. Lol Memory cards aren’t too expensive. So far had registered for us region eshop. Did not get memory card though as I think the storage for those indie games will not be big. For those big titles, I will get physical copy. Might get another controller too. Which controller is recommended other than the original pro controller? Thinking of getting those from 8bitdo Anything that I should have done that I missed out? But you can always get them when you need them. As for controllers. You can’t go wrong with 8bitdo. But I usually recommend getting a second set of joycons for those party games if you are into it. |

QUOTE(Winning11 @ Feb 17 2020, 08:36 PM) Joycon seems expensive too. Haha. I don’t have that many second hand games. Any online/FB marketplace that you recommend to buy 2nd hand games? I found that they are at least rm20 cheaper than new ones but the shops have limited choice of it. But if I have to, I usually just buy them from Carousell and I only do so for games that are more than 6 months old so the price is even lower. You have to be a bit careful with second hand games. As people might have exported/dump the games for CFW use. And if Nintendo catch hold of it, the cartridge might be rendered invalid. Hacked switches isn’t widespread in Malaysia but if the Carousell seller is also selling/listing hacked switch stuff, you gotta be careful. QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 21 2020, 12:30 PM) Hi All, Depends on the game. I currently have a normal switch (V1) and is interested to get another switch lite. As i am not familiar with how the switch's multiple system single user works, anyone care to give me a rundown and perhaps, limitation that i might face if i do that? I do know that i cannot play the same game on both switch at the same time, but interested to know whether the process of me "switching" from the docked switch to the lite would be and is it as seamless. Thanks Some games like Pokémon do not support cloud save. So you’ll need to transfer the save file manually by having both switch on and initiating it. It requires the internet and it’s troublesome. You can stick to a single user but if someone else (spouse/relative/friend) wants to play it, best to create a second account. You can play both games at the same time if you have 2 separate accounts. I’m not too sure if one of them needs to be offline, I’ll need to check. |

QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 21 2020, 01:37 PM) Thanks, that is indeed a good read. You can only transfer saves among the same account. When we say internet, does this involve subscription to Nintendo Online? I hope not I dont mind manually initiating it. I am more concern with the statement from the post above, stating that when one switch is playing a game, the other switch cannot do so. I would like to then clarify about this "account". Is that similar to the profile option on the switch? I personally have 2 account (one on US region and one on JAP) and i wonder, does it mean that only 1 switch at one point of time can play the game which i download using my US region? You can’t transfer saves to a secondary account. This refers to your profile that you set up on your switch. As for your second point. Here is what I know for certain. If the primary console remains offline, it can run the game. Then your secondary console (constant internet connection, Nintendo online not required), can also run the game. But I’m not sure if you’ll be kicked out on the second console the moment the primary console goes online. If I’ve time, I’ll check this later tonight. QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 21 2020, 02:55 PM) That will certainly help alot if you can confirm that to me. Here is what I’ve tried. The only major concern i have now is: - If i have a profile that is linked to US region, and downloaded multiple games from that region. - If i am playing game A on my primary switch, can someone else play game B on the switch lite even if it needed internet. (note that it is not the same game, although purchased using the same account). Looks like if i wanted to dual switch, its best to go physical. Had always been on digital. OG switch - non primary account Switch lite - primary account Game tested was Digital Megaman 11 purchased on my primary Canadian account. First test - Both Switch online - same account. Launch the game on OG switch with my Canadian account. Then Launch the same game on my Switch lite with the same Canadian account. After a minute, my switch lite was kicked out. Second test - both switch online - diff account. Again, after a minute, my switch lite was kicked out. Third test - Switch lite offline. OG switch online. Manage to launch and play the game on both switches. Regardless of accounts used. Forth test - both switch online - same account - different games. OG switch gets kicked out. Fifth test - both switch online - diff account - diff games. No issues. Can play both games with no issues. OG Switch is playing on primary account. Switch lite is playing on secondary JP account. QUOTE(KUROsaki23 @ Feb 22 2020, 09:21 PM) It’s not too bad for regular games. One person stick to one account. But for some games, it’s outright impossible to transfer save file. Like animal crossing. Whichever console start with, I’m stuck with that. |

These account sharing deals will require you to
- go online when launching the game. If you’re on the plane or anywhere with no internet, too bad you can’t play that game. - no DLCs. If you’re the type who likes extra content, this will not work. - no online play. In fact you’ll probably need to immediately go offline after launching the game. - no save file transfer or backup. If the account is gone, your save file is gone. No way to back it up. Of course there is also the risk of the account stop working which other have mentioned. This is also against Nintendo TOS. Though extremely unlikely, might get your device banned as well. With all these limitations, it’s no different from actually going full lanun (which I don’t recommend and a sure fire way to get your switch banned) This post has been edited by LegendLee: Mar 4 2020, 01:54 PM |

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Mar 5 2020, 10:23 AM) Many said no use. Don't waste money. For me, I just use usb extender cable & Lamicall's Nintendo Switch Tablet Stand T. Yeap. I wouldn't recommend it as well. I’ve played my Launch day switch for hours on end without any overheating issues. Fan does goes a bit loud, but no crashes. Just like with other consoles, placing additional cooler just makes your dock bulky without actually lowering the temp. |

Been encountering error
2002-2961 on my Fire Emblem 3 houses cartridge. Problem solved when I eject and reinserted the game. But it'll occur every 2-3 hours of gameplay, making me lose all my progress from my last save. I'm guessing there is something wrong with the cartridge/contacts. One of the risk of buying second hand games... This post has been edited by LegendLee: Mar 11 2020, 09:26 AM |

QUOTE(jimmybachok @ Mar 17 2020, 01:22 PM) Hi guys, I feel like its time for me to buy a switch after 8 years only having 3ds. I need opinions on which should I buy? V1, V2 or switch lite? Depends on how you intend to use it. If you plan to use it as a handheld completely, go for the switch lite. It’s about half the price of a new switch and it’s lighter too. If you do like party games or a bit, couch multiplayer or even using it as a regular console, get the switch V2 V2 has better battery compared to the V1. They’re about the same price anyway. |

QUOTE(zoixc @ Apr 12 2020, 11:38 AM) hi, just got a switch last week and on the third day of using it there is a dead/stuck pixel on the screen, asked the seller about this and the seller told me its not a defect and even nitendo themselves says it on their website. For dead/hot pixels, it has to be above a certain amount. should i return the device and look for another one, any advice ? If it’s just one pixel, unlikely they’ll accept it back unless you return it immediately at the shop. Where did you buy it from? |

What game did they provide? It better be AAA titles worth RM200+ each If you can return it, just return it. Then wait 2 months and get a new unit for less than Rm2k. |

QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Apr 13 2020, 10:24 AM) ive seen some selling (not sure troll post or wad) asking for 2k ish for a used v1 switch. thank god i got mine bnib v2 in nov 2019 for 1.3k. cant imagine paying for 2k ish for a used one. and the ringfit from 300 to 900 I have seen people selling unpatched V1 switch for more than RM2.7k. Given that how a new switch might be released next year, spending so much in one now isn’t worth it. |

QUOTE(typofigures @ Apr 22 2020, 03:06 PM) Hi Guys, It’s a shared account. I saw quite a number of digital games selling in Shopee. I know the catch is you'll need to remain the account they provided to you logged in at your device in order to use it. Do you guys recommend to get one? Any other catch beside the mentioned above? Not shared with just 2 players but with many. They expect you to go online, launch the game. And then go offline. - can only play with an internet connection - might sometimes fail to launch the game (as there are others too) - very likely for the account to be banned or password changed. You lose your save file then and access to the game. - cannot use your own account. Which means no cloud save. - you cannot download any dlc or play online. - Nintendo might change policy and require semi regular internet connections. In that case, you will also lose access. |

QUOTE(ace-user @ May 4 2020, 09:02 PM) Hi sifus, I'm currently using switch lite & bought a new v2 switch. Can I use the same Nintendo switch account for the new switch? I'm currently playing animal crossing on the old switch (switch lite) and I scared if I log in on the new switch it will attempt to wipe all my game data on the old switch. And since animal crossing don't support cloud save my 200 hours game play will be gone lol Yes. You can use the same account on both switches. And btw I'll only be playing physical games on the new switch so I won't download anything from eShop on the new switch (for now at least). When the AC has cloud save I will move it to the new switch as well and just sell the switch lite. Save files are all stored locally. So even if it uploads new save to the cloud, it will not affect any local saves. The switch will not automatically update local data with cloud data. And AC save is tied to the system save. It’s not even saved in the same folder as other games. |
