Banjo in Smash.. didn't expect that to ever happen.. Witcher 3 on Switch as well... and then boom... Zelda BOTW sequel... Nintendo won E3 this year for me lol. Got to see Animal Crossing gameplay altho it's delayed, Link’s Awakening Remake looks amazing, Luigi’s Mansion 3 gonna love that, Daemon X Machina looks really good, No More Heroes 3 didn't expect that to be announced.. and more Astral Chains details.. can't wait for that Platinum Game, game.

QUOTE(amidamaru1990 @ Jun 12 2019, 02:32 PM) hi guys. I just got my switch. Any tips for Malaysian Switch beginner? Region, games to play, charging time etc. US region if you're buying English games. If you can read japanese and chinese could consider Japan region as well. You can have multiple accounts and buy from multiple account regions and all game will appear in the console just fine just like PS4. For Indie games you can look into Mexico, South Africa, since they have a lot of cheap indie games.. When I say cheap it's like half price or more cheap buy indie games only for those stores, normal Nintendo games are expensive there, so recommend US region instead. Use this site to check which game is cheaper in with region http://eshop-checker.xyz/ Thanks in advace! Games to play depends on your preference I guess. Tell us what games you like, maybe then can recommend. |

I can't read japanese or chinese and I myself not really a fan of indie games, usually just play triple AAA title.Games to play depends on your preference I guess. Tell us what games you like, maybe then can recommend. Also I just ordered a case, and 64gb micro sd card. Hopefully it is enough. Not really a fan of physical copy of games unless I'm 100% sure I can sell it back. Again thank you so much for the tips. Will absolutely use US region. |

You can use local credit cards just fine, but sometimes reload cards could be cheaper, so you get some discounts from it. You also get gold coins from buying on eShop, you can use gold coins to change for discounts, are get some digital goodies on My Nintendo website. https://my.nintendo.com/Also I just ordered a case, and 64gb micro sd card. Since you like Triple AAA titles. I'd recommend most of the Nintendo first party games, they are verr high quality game. Zelda Breath of the Wild is definitely a must buy imo when buying a Switch, more hype now especially a sequel was just announced and in development. |

I found some seller in Shopee selling USD reload card quite cheap. For sure gonna try that someday. Since you like Triple AAA titles. Thank you so much! I just ordered BOTW. It's not cheap huhuhu. But considering how good the game is, I don't really mind. I also currently looking a chill, fun game to play with my wife. Friends suggested Overcooked 2 and Diablo. Wife a big fan of Mario but there's so many Mario game for Switch I'm not sure which one to get (Odyssey la, Mario Kart la, with that rabbit one). |

All good about BOTW, worth even at full price still..I didn't know about that gold coins. Thank you so much! I just ordered BOTW. It's not cheap huhuhu. Most Chill game will be Animal Crossing, sadly next year in March only released. Overcooked 2 is really good, very fun with other people. Mario Kart is pretty good if you want some arcade racing fun. Odyssey is awesome as well, when you have more budget must buy imo. The rabbit one is more of a tactical game.. I called it Mario XCOM because it's kinda like that. |

QUOTE(crimsonhead @ Jun 12 2019, 11:20 PM) Hi Hi. I just got my Switch yesterday!im planning to get a switch soon. What are the things that I should know before buying one? What region should i get and the price? And what anout the games? Should i buy from the e-store or buy locally? Thanks, Crims Okay few things you need to know to buy a Switch here in Malaysia: 1. Warranty. There's two type of warranty that I know of for switch here in Malaysia. 1 is from Maxsoft. Maxsoft is the official distributor of all Nintendo across Asia. They provide 1 year warranty for your Switch just like mine. The other one is supplier warranty. Supplier warranty is usually when the supplier are selling Switch from other region (Japan, Australia etc.). From what I gather from my survey, supplier's warranty Switch provide you the international wall plug, not the Malaysia type wall plug (sorry don't know the actual term other than wall plug). You're going to need adapter if you got the international wall plug. Provided my bad experience with my PSP back in the days, Maxsoft warranty local unit it is. 2. Price. Price for a Switch here in Malaysia varies from RM 1.1k to RM 1.7k. Anything above RM 1.3k should give you free tempered glass (very important), free games or other accessories like pouch. Cheapest one you can get is from Otakuya from Shopee (supplier warranty). 3. Games. Nintendo eshop does not officially established here in Malaysia (unlike PS Store) but luckily, Switch does not Region lock. So you can set let say, set US region for your switch, buy games from eshop and play. You can also buy physical games (I assume when you say locally). Physical games are better for AAA games such as Zelda, Doom 3, Mario games, Pokemon as the price in eshop does not much different than physical (digital USD 59.99 vs physical RM 250). Physical of course you can sell back or trade with me! haha 4. Accessories. Do get a micro SD card. For me this is a must, at least the 64gb one. Switch come with native 32gb on board storage. I downloaded a few free games last night, half of my storage gone already. This does not include saves. I saw online somewhere the best micro SD card would be Samsung EVO plus. Other than that, maybe you ought to get a case (for travelling), USB to ethernet adapter (somehow switch does not detect 5ghz wifi, so expect 25mbp/s max download speed), and maybe case for your joy con. I mentioned above tempered glass is very important because there's a few cases when owner of Switch after their announce suffer scratches at their screen after they dock it. Masters, please correct me if I'm wrong any where. I just owned a switch for like, 2 days. Do add more if I missed out anything. Cheers! |
