Came back from Nando's MV and swiped for 3 sets of B2F1, so 9 plates for 6 plates' price. The staffs were friendly and split into three bills for us and I brought three cards along, but can actually swipe using one same card. smile.gif

So I swipe three bills with one same card. smile.gif

the min spending 3k to entitle for 5% yet capped rm30 is basically telling you, spend rm3k for rm30.

1% rebate.
*
Well, and that 5% is not for online transactions. Online transactions is 0.2%.

Coming November, I will cancel my CIMB CR with supp along. I will keep the Enrich Plat for GL vouchers and reduce my CL to a very minimum amount as it is very high now.

I have plans to apply other cards from other banks and high limit may not help my future applications.

Does this really matter, high total CL affects future application?
*
Well, I have a feeling it may due to income vs. total limit. Not sure if it is a truth or myth but since it is my inactive card, no point keeping such a high limit.

Just a general question, will it affect our CCRIS and CTOS if we have too many credit cards? Should we keep cc to a minimum as needed only?
*
Still surviving with 23 cards. Due to system glitch which is yet to be fixed, once it's OK, it should be 24th card.

However, coming November i will cut some cards like CIMB and AmBank. Not completely cutting off but keeping only one card for each of these banks and I shall reduce the credit limit to a very minimal amount.

I gotta do a culling exercise soon too.  CIMB, Ambank and Hong Leong Fortune are first off the list.

Yes, as smart cardholders, we have to. biggrin.gif
However, I'm not a big spender like you la. tongue.gif

Very impressive with 2 dozens!!!
I've got 11 cards and thinking of dropping CIMB CR and replace with PBB Quantum cards. Friends think I'm over the top with almost a dozen.
*
Yeah, kiasu as some people said. laugh.gif
I will apply PBB Quantum too next year, hope PBB will stop rejecting me. doh.gif
Hopefully by cutting my CIMB CR and CIMB's overall limit will reduce the rejection reason.

With the recent launch of MBB FC Barcelona and the revision of CIMB CR, it doesn't seem to have a good reason to hold CIMB CR anymore although it's AF Free.

Does anyone thought of any good use for CR?
*
Celcom auto-debit for some users here.

I'm also using Celcom, but have changed my Auto Debit to SCB Gold. I still get the auto billing rebate of 5%. Any particular reason to stick to CIMB CR?
*
Hmm. CIMB gives additional 2%?

Any cc will give 5% from celcom side if u opt for auto billing. Well i'm gonna cut this cc coz my application for quantum has been approved. Salary below 36k cannot hold more than 2 cards what to do
*
Not two cards but two banks' cards. So if you only have CIMB and PBB, then it's OK.

If switch to MBB FCB VS, should be entitled for the 2% as well? since there is no restriction on the cashback categories.
*
Good point. Then no point keeping CIMB CR for Celcom users.

Hi guys,

I received in my mail 2 credit cards from CIMB. Looks like my agent who helped me to get my housing loan (received from CIMB) also sent credit card application to CIMB without me knowing.

From the looks of it, I got both the normal card with platinum marking (cash rebate) as well as the card for petronas. Are these card worth it to activate/use? Both are Mastercard.

I already have Maybank 2 Cards Amex + Mastercard. How do I cancel these cards if I don't plan to use?

Thanks
*
Just call to cancel.

No longer worth keeping if you ask me. smile.gif

Just bought something at Lazada for RM 942. If CIMB doesn't honour cash back based on transaction date, I will try to argue. laugh.gif

They might reinstate some sort of online cash back down the road, as in the case of MBB 2cards. We just need to start cancelling cards that are no longer useful.
*
Let's see, what other cards (any bank) which reinstated back the old benefits besides M2Cards?
Nil.

Lets say my statement balance is 88.05.
And my cb for last statement is 25.48.
So the statement - cb is 62.57.
If I want to cancel the card today, should i just pay 62.57 or 88.05?
I'm getting confused
*
Since you are cancelling the card, then just pay the amount (after CB) and cancel it.
