I actually feed her oatmeal. Vet said oatmeal will do fine. But i wonder can i continueously feed her with oatmeal since its a very healthy meal? But dun let hand-feeding as a habit, or u'll cry later........ She's having digestion problem. Normally she will vomit on her first meal. Almost everyday but nt everyday she will vomit. Izzit bcoz of the dog food not suitable for her? |

Hi
I am Chee here. I just own a puppy two week ago and my puppy is PUG. Pug is my favorite dog but before i decide to have it i had do some research via internet. What i had found is PUG is very suitable for apartment because PUG is in toy doggies group, small medium size, indoor puppy. Since i have my pug puppy i found pug is very quiet puppy and active. i feed two time a day which is morning and evening, sometime feed him some milky biscuit when i back to look at him during my lunch time. In the night time he never cry before. What i had done everyday since i have it is i spend sometime to play with him which is morning before i go to work let him run around and play, other time is in evening before / after his meal. After i play with him than i will put him back in the case than he will quiet and sleep. My pug puppy now is 8 weeks old so i still haven't teach him where to pee & poo because i found that he still very play full and don't know what i teach too. Anyway i going to start soon and i found now a day you can get a bottle of spay from pet shop which is to teach your puppy where to pee & poo. Just use the spay to spay the location u want you puppy to pee or poo and is just RM20 plus. Other things is i have two type of dog food to swap. Because my seller told me baby puppy very choosy when after few day the puppy don't like the first dog food than you have to swap to second dog food or mix two type together to feed. Here is the homepage to find more information about dog. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pug http://www.dogbreedinfo.com http://www.akc.org/breeds Hope my experience will help you. Cheers Chee QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Mar 14 2007, 02:19 PM) oh...must praise.....not that my fren din find info, is she dunno whom to ask......Since I love dogs too, so i help loh....... She is now keeping the puppy in a cage during her working hours. SHe fed the puppy twice, morning and evening. The puppy pee and poo in the cage. But now she said she fed the puppy morning, the carry it to the newspaper, wait for it to poo then only kept it back in the cage, then go to work. When return from work, feed again, carry to newspaper, wait for poo, then carry back to cage. After dinner (the owner lah...), let the puppy out, play, roam free, play until puppy tired, keep back in cage, then sleep.......... BTW, she stay in a condo....... |

giomanach,
Your house have any small place dry area for dog. Dog don't like wet floor for potty and pee. Here the basic and just my experience for potty training. You can ask any question, this forum member will help you. Someone please put out your hand for this new puppy with new home. Wishing good luck. Potty Training To teach the dog where to relieve herself. at first you need clean up the smell where they potty/pee before, need do 100% clean up. 1.when find up he/she want potty or pee, bring they on news paper area at floor.make ready 6 news paper at floor. they will do smelling find the place. the best way try get one pee with news paper put at 6 news paper there. 2.never let they make single mistake. 3.let they know where you want they to go and... 4.reward they for doing so. "goooood boy/girl." 5.remember each hour hurry the dog to the intended toilet area or dry area with news paper.(go pee! or Go poop). Praise and offer a couple of traning treats when successful. 6.the potty training need about 3-4 month for successful. 7.If fail for potty training might facing many problem, they do pee and poop everywhere, the pee stink is hard to erase, you cannot bring they to friends house or restaurant. my dog rocky need 2 month for seccessful ,and ricky have follow rocky did, he done well less then 2 month.
