Not recommended unless you install it correctly. LTE is much more complicated, unlike 3G. You are better off try to place your modem at a better place.

I will use the antenna like this and call it a day. Even Cisco use this kind of antenna.

can get this antenna locally?

Get Huawei original B593 antenna.

However, I don't really recommend antenna, pure USB modem is good enough. You won't see significant improvement. smile.gif

thinking getting antenna cause my area is not lte-a covered but near to it.. as I can see a tower with viewing distance..
will test out without antenna first and then decide to go for it or not..

Just successfully registered infinite 150.

Gonna terminate current broadband 100 once the new sim arrived.smile.gif
p/s: i noticed something... i got free quota of 1GB something (MyDigi app promo).

When I downloaded stuffs using IDM, using that 1GB quota, download speed on IDM easily hit 5MB/sec.

Once that 1GB finished, revert back to current normal quota, suddenly drop to 1MB/sec.

Is Digi throttle download speed?

edit: I download stuffs from my Google Drive account.
*
5MB/s? very good speed there.. around 38Mbps.. Mind sharing your location?

already tried download the toolbox but it can detect B310 but I don't think I does anything to my modem though.. Is there any way to check which band is stronger through PC?
*
AFAIK there is 2 ways can check signal:

1. Huawei modem with MDMA
2. rooted Snapdragon phone with signal guru app..

Anyone have any other solutions welcome to share..

for me I will go for enterprise level hardware like Huawei rather than home user level hardware if the price permits and not so much difference..

I found that b593 cost cheaper than b310, dont know what different. and e5180 with no rj11 port only cost RM330. So hard to choose 😓
*
ONLY HUAWEI B593s-22 has Cat4 speed (150 D/50 U) while other B593 is cat3 speed.. All B310 is Cat4 hence it is much more expensive..

The only advantages of B310 over E5180 that I found is that B310 have Gigabit ethernet while E5180 doesn't.. and also minus appearance, form factor etc

between b310 and b593s-22 , which will be better?

b593s-22 is expensive more abit
*
I believe it is much more expensive because it has 4 LAN ports and usb port compared to B310.. speedwise both are the same at Cat4 speed..
better ask your seller which one is the best..

Just learned something that shocked me..
Huawei P9 though Cat6 LTE phone does not support LTE-A.. Yes it has Cat6 but no CA.. Means no interband.. That's a RM2k phone..

I think P9 is LTE-A Cat 6 devices. But just not support the Digi (or Malaysian telco) network.

*Which model is your P9?
*
Not necessary.. Redmi Note 3 although cat6 phone does not support interband CA that required for Digi's LTE-A..
I'm not using a P9 but someone complaint in his FB post that his P9 only got 15Mbps with Digi's i150
