guys, tldr

impressed with digi prepaid speed at my place. iflix does not even buffer, unlike if used with celcom.

any usage restrictions that I should be aware of before trading up to infinite 150?

usage will be for streaming chromecast with youtube and *flix, astro go, casual work-from-home, phone app usage. not p2p that I am aware of; probably only those online file storage like dropbox and box for backup purpose.

as long as personal use, no p2p, no special number call(1-300)/oversea sms(extra charge), then its ok.

go for it flex.gif

Do take note this DG plan is a no contract plan.. why? Maybe DG hoping for many new comers to give them cash RM300 upfront and later unhappy with the plan will leave, such as due to congestion etc... That is why I go for B310 first... Unless, money to you is just a numbers game.

Don't think that digi will want to risk their reputation like that. Sounds like a get rich quick scam ๐Ÿ˜‚

I half agree with that. Maybe digi spend a lot for the upgrade. They don't want to take loans / reduce the cash flow, that's why they request higher deposit. But of course they don't wish customer runaway.

I'm thinking of buying either Huawei B310 or E5186. B310 is cheaper but only CAT4. While E5186 is more expensive, but supports faster CAT6. I have a question for those using B310, are u satisfied with it? Or would you prefer to use E5186? I would be happy if I can get at least 10Mbps.

Right now I'm using Huawei E5172-515s which only supports band 2, 5 and 7. Speed is a bit unsatisfying at around 3-5 Mbps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as Digi has LTE on band 3 and 7, my current router cannot benefit from carrier aggregation.
*
see your area got LTE-A coverage or not.. if got then go for E5186 so u can LTE-A speed..

if getting B310 also not bad... if u can fully utilize LTE speed...

it's really depends on the digi tower congregation.

if your current speed test with 4G full bar signal not good..then getting a modem also wont helping much lol laugh.gif

Currently no problem outside with 4 smartphones. But at home I turned off the wifi at dongle and connect it to TP-Link router.
