Same as RE001?

Got mine for RM75 each inclusive of balancing. Used but with 70-80% thread.
There were 4 pieces, but I just bought two since I needed just a pair for the front.

My experience (only those that i can remember):

1. (1.3-litre stock ride)
Brand: Goodyear NCT5
Size: 185/55/R15
Comment: It was an ok budget tyre (RM125 a piece year 2004) but it has the tendency to wobble a bit... The grip was medicore n aquaplanning is ok too... noise level is so-so..
Will I ever get one again? : Maybe if my budget is tight

2. (1.4-litre stock ride)
Brand: Silverstone Kruizer1 NS700
Size: 195/55/R15
Comment: It was a great at the 1st 15,000km... Grip was ok n aquaplanning is good... But now after more than 15,000km the performance dwindles, its easy to aquaplane but still great in dry... Bought it at RM145 a piece in early 2006...
Will I ever get one again? : Would like to try other brand/type but if no choice why not..

3. On my friend's car (1.3-litre modded ride)
Brand: Tornado (Funny brand)
Size: 195/55/R15
Comment: Sooooo not worth it the RM130 price tag.. The grip was so-so but the noise level is shakehead.gif It's like u have a mini tornado under ur car...
Will he ever get one again? : Not in this lifetime

That Tornado sounded like another Capitol (friend had it on his Lantis and it was ok only for few weeks!)

Performs much better than the MXV8 during rain, almost as good as the Yokohama S-217 I used previously but could be attributed to the amount of thread left on this PZ-1, approx 70%.
Not much quieter OTR, in fact, it feels the same. the 70% PZ-1 has almost the same noise level as 40-50% MXV8. I vouch to imagine how noisy it will be when it's down to 40-50%. But which tyre doesn't? biggrin.gif

My rears run on the sucky Turanza and at one occasion few days back (on an open field, during drizzling rain, just testing out), I can feel the rears gave way much, much earlier.

My review:
My car: Inokom Matrix 1.8 (A)
Stock: 15" alloy rims with Good Year eagle NCT5 195/55R15
-noisy, heavy

Upgrade: 16" alloy rims (lighter than stock) with Hankook Ventus V8 RS 205/50R16
-less noise than NCT5, about the same weight with 15" NCT5
-cornering improved alot!

RM250 can get 16" tyre??

there's quite a number for 16 tire for around that price.

currently using Kumho Ecsta Supra (712). from some review about more or less equivalent to ES100. last time got offer Ecsta MX for 200 each (yup 16") but too bad i missed it.

review? not as grip from my previous F1 on wet tarmac.

RE01R on 16" 45series " around what price range? it might be an F1 replacement, but i bet the treadwear is not long lasting. i still think F1 is the most best tire to get and worth the money u pay for, treadwear also reasonable

Bought my car in 2005, Civic EJ, comes with Hankook Ventus HRII on all 4..

2005
Tyre : Hankook Ventus HRII
Size : 205/45/16
Comments : Good grips, acceptable level of noise.

2006, changed two front Hankook with Silverstone FTZ Evol8 (got 2nd tyre, 99% thread @ RM180 for two-piece , a steal for me cos short of money..
2006 : Silverstone FTZ Evol8
Size : 205/45/16
Comments : good grips, a bit noisy despite the so call beta silica to reduce noise. Good grip on rainy roads. Thread rating : 280 sad.gif

2007
- Changed the front FTZ to rear and bought new
Tyre : Dunlop Formula D
Size : 205/45/16
Price : RM225 each
Comments : Lower level of noise. Good grips. Thread rating 420!!!

Synergy M5 is quiet and very light (explains why it is cost saving). Not sure its rating though...

I think is a trend for Wira owners nowadays. I can see the rear is actually higher than the front. How big are those wheels actually? 17" ah?

bro F1 how to compare with RE01R totally diff class woh....F1 is kinda overall tyres but in dry neova, re01r totally outbeat them notime...even in SIC neova can at least last 8-10 laps continuesly before starting to lose grip...F1 3-5lap losing grip adi la....on wet ofc'z both will lose to F1 due to the tyre is not design for high performance tyre very close to semi from the thread design u can see (take a look at neova,re01r,r888, a048 compare u will know wat i mean), where F1 is more towards an overall tyre
