QUOTE(mattchin @ Mar 16 2007, 06:27 PM) hi bros.. i'm planning to get goodyear eagle f1.. any comment? my ride is myvi.. looking forward for town use n practical actually.. is it a good 1? o there r better out there.. tQ tQ For daily use, it's the best out there, esp suited for our rainy weather. There's really nothing else like it at that cost. Only thing you have to bear with is the noise. Aggressive threads will always generate a lot of noise. Currently I'm using them and I love them.

QUOTE(eddyann @ Mar 31 2008, 10:09 AM) my GY F1 GSD-3 Germany almost finished. need a good or better replacement and less noisy than GSD-3. any recommendations? Treadwear should above 200 or otherwise will botak so fast. The new GY F1 Asymetric should be available now. It's placed above the current GSD3.

QUOTE(moon* @ Apr 1 2008, 10:53 PM) BOSS.. sadly i tink its 17" n above only i read it somewhere online they dun make 17" below So far officially it is still not available. Those who brought it in are the umm.. 'under water' ones, so called parallel imports. we'd just have to wait until Goodyear officially distributes it, then we'd know the availability of sizes.

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Jan 25 2010, 10:57 AM) PP2 is better... RE001 is not that good in hydroplaning department... sorry i assume u all like to drive fast in Highway... so hydroplaning is very important... PP2 cuts thru the water nicely... I don't want to be an english teacher but what you want is a tyre that is BAD in hydroplaning. Hydroplaning is the effect that you DO NOT want. So what you want is anti-hydroplaning qualities in a tyre. PP2 is nice but compared to the Goodyear F1 GSD3 that I used to have, it is still slightly nervous in watery situations. I was driving to and back from Ipoh over the weekend and the tyre didn't feel too good in heavy rain as compared to the GSD3. It started lifting at about 120-130km/h in heavy rain, something that the GSD3 had no problems until about 160km/h. One thing I did appreciate is the quietness of the tyre as compared to the super noisy F1s.

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Jan 25 2010, 11:35 AM) yea my bad england... yes GDS3 is good that's y it might be my change.... but it is a bit noisy as it is directional... It's not a bit noisy.. it's damn noisy, esp after you wear out the outer wall blocks.

QUOTE(cheeann @ Mar 4 2010, 05:15 PM) primacy is higher rating than XM1 n it's 195/60-15 lowest i've found in klang ard rm260 dun think so can get new PP2 for tat size unless old stock cuz PP2 is out of production edi~ now new PS3 will replace all existing PP2 I got mine at that price and size and the production date was only 6 months old when I got it at the end of January 2010.

QUOTE(ychwang @ Mar 5 2010, 04:56 AM) I heard PP2 very high FC, bcoz the tyre is very heavy. 17' for 110hp@1.2ton car? noway. I was quoting the 17' as a comparison for price with the Primacy as the PP2 is much better tyre, not asking you to use it. I don't see any FC increase when I went from my old Goodyear GSD3 F1 to the PP2. Added on March 5, 2010, 8:58 amQUOTE(phas3r @ Mar 5 2010, 03:16 AM) How much thread left in my tires? can still use? any comments? Check the tyre wear indicator that is built on the tyre. If you don't know what that is, google it. This post has been edited by sleepwalker: Mar 5 2010, 08:58 AM

QUOTE(Rascal Stitch @ Dec 8 2010, 09:07 PM) not only tat,in merc sc sum of them got complaint side walls got a long crack~ tat means da shop's machine time to service/tune up~ Not neccessary. Wheel balancing machine is only to balance the rim and the tyre at low speeds. It does a good job balancing the rim but your tyres changes shape at high speed as the centrifugal forces stretches it outwards. If the tyre is not properly balanced during the manufacturing process, then you will see this issue affecting most people once they hit over 100km/h. Typical symptom is that the vibration starts a a certain range and disappears as the car goes faster or slower than the range, hence the need for an on wheel balancing to spin the wheel to higher speeds.

QUOTE(pillage2001 @ Dec 18 2010, 09:15 PM) Any idea what's the offset of Honda Accord 05 rims? Looking to change to a 17 inch one........ The offset changes with the size since the offset is a fixed measurement and not a percentage of the rim size. If you can't find this info, just go to any tyre shop, take out the rim and measure. Your offset is just the number of milimeters the hub is 'offset' from the centerline of the rim.
