MC5 is middle level tire from Continental, below the CSC series and made for Malaysia market. If I were you, I won't choose it coz I think it's not worth it for the price. I'd rather try the Hankook V12 Evo 2 or Bridgestone RE003 which are higher category but yet similar prices or even cheaper than MC5. For Continental I'd only go for CSC series and only if got a good deal (coz usually they are even more expensive). If you got cheap price for MC5 (cheaper than the other 2 I mentioned) then only can consider. |

Nope but I want to try it out for the next change coz the reviews I read in the web are pretty good plus the price is relatively cheap for tire of that class, so seems to be value for money. You can google to read various reviews of that tire. |

Been using Michelin PS3 two times on my swift now. The 2nd cycle surprisingly wear off very fast.
1st cycle PS3 = 40k+ KM. (Highway drive in KL) 2nd cycle PS3 = 20-30k KM. (Ship car to sabah, poor road condition) I hardly change to other tyre since PS3 made me confident even cruising at 90-100kmh during heavy rain. |

Hi I want to ask, which tyres size 195/50/15 are the best for high performance that has good grip in dry n water and if can comfort. (not using for track though)
I've heard of Michelin PS3, but is there other tyres better? This post has been edited by Megaboyz: Aug 31 2016, 04:07 PM |

QUOTE(kaizer_x @ Aug 29 2016, 12:43 AM) You can try getting quotations on the pricing from shops around your home or work place. Can just call and ask for the prices. You will have a good idea on the range of prices offered. Take note if the price include/exclude valves, balancing alignment and GST. Shops nearby might be useful to provide other services such as during flat tyre or battery. This post has been edited by putra23: Sep 1 2016, 02:44 PM |

Hi all, am looking for tyre recommendations for my Mitsubishi ASX - 225/55/17
Currently using Michelin Primacy 3ST, was wondering if there's any better model around the same price? What about other brands such as Yokohama, Hankook, Bridgestone, Falken etc....? I'm looking for comfort, performance & durability |

Just want to share my experience on RE003 after using this tire for 2 weeks.
Dry condition: Lots of grip. Can whack corners at high speed with confidence (tire didn't event scream)... No complain on this department Wet condition: Sadly.... it performed below my expectation. Was driving on highway couple of days ago and it started to rain (not heavy). I can feel the front wheel starts to aquaplane around 130-140kph. With this, I've also lost confidence when braking under wet condition. Tire noise: Same like RE002.... still noisy but I can bare with it (just pump up the car's player volume and problem solved) Tire wears: Cant comment much as I've just used the tire for 2 weeks only. Plus I didn't put high hope on it. What do you expect from a 200 rating on the tire wears? Conclusion: This is very subjective... It depends on car, tire spec, road condition & driving style. I've used/tried PS3, RE002 & AS2 before switching to RE003. On dry performance, I wont say which one performed the best as I find them all equally good. But when it comes to wet conditions, personally I find AS2 performed the best. Driving 150kph in heavy rain, no issue. It cut through water like hot knife through butter Even after putting 15k into it, it still feels good in the rain. Among the 4 tires that I've used, I placed RE003 last when it comes to wet performance. RE002 performed way better in the wet condition compared to RE003. So for me, overall this tire doesn't fulfill my requirement/expectation. I know some people might disagreed with my views but like I said earlier.... it depends on car, tire spec, road condition & individual driving style. Car: CL7-R Tire spec: 225/45/17 Side note: My original plan was to get the all new AS3 but sadly Goodyears Malaysia is taking its own sweet time bringing in that tire into Malaysia despite the tire is already out since Feb 2016. Because of this, I was forced to change to RE003 because my previous AS2 has becomes slick tires Good luck with your tire hunting..... |
