QUOTE(i_am_nick @ Sep 24 2008, 11:07 AM) All, newbie here. I'm planning to change my Wira 1.5 Auto tyre (original one is Silverstone - 175/70R13)). Any recommendation? Everyday drive from KL to Puchong so need better tyre for long lasting and stable but budget also la... Please advice Change rim to 15, then we can start talking...or else stick to the silverstone and never get anything 'sime'.

QUOTE(nd_4ever @ Apr 18 2008, 12:40 PM) Try giving Falken Ziex 912 (latest thread design) that's going for RM180-190 (195/55/15) in Klang Valley tyre shops. It's made in Thailand & very silent as well..... even more silent compared to Continental Comfort Contact. if 195/55/15 already silent more than conti.... better take 195/60/15 more silent and comfort... but handling reduce although not noticeable for normal driver

My wira's a/b tyre first come out from showroom was silverstone 175/70R13'. A very noisy and always perform aquaplanning...but it is very affordable, rm90-rm100. Then change to Goodyear Ducaro GA...good on dry and wet road, but after a while, it also noisy- RM125.00. Change to Michelin MX, very good and grippy on dry and wet. Very silent but thread not lasting- RM135.00. Now change to front using Michelin Avensis (RM140.00), and rear Ducaro GA (RM125.00). Very satisfy with michelin especially during raining day in which it is very grippy on the road and silent.

gsd3 is not a good tyre, lousy.
I find it not very good on dry, just average, but superb on wet!
But I don't think you are looking for wet tyre, right?
Added on October 19, 2008, 1:09 amI know it from braking, MY01(lousy too) is better than it on dry.
So my suggestion would be A drive r1.

A drive R1 is cheap, 205/45/16 cost about rm240 with trade in, so for your size, is much cheaper I guess.

QUOTE(Lim Ling Yang @ Oct 18 2008, 09:54 PM) The thread wear of RE001 is okay? Or horribly fast? I am using RE001, I drive daily to college everyday, thread still good, I used since march 2008, until now thread still cantik cantik, still got around 90% thread.
