Thanks for input , now I got two offer

Canon 700D with 18-55 @ Rm 1200
Go Pro Hero 5 @ Rm 1500
*
GoPro hero 5 @ RM1500 new?
That's a good deal, got mine at retail price during their promo free 3-way pole.

But GoPro is more for action/selfie/hands-off kind of video. I'd go for mirrorless or DSLR for proper video recording.

GoPro more suitable as a C-cam, I wouldn't even use it for B-cam unless there's absolutely no other choice.

I sold off my Canon s100 few years back. Many are still using DSLR though. If I am to choose, probably will go for beginner's DSLR setup.

Lol. Unless you're shooting sports or using a full frame, mirrorless trumps all of these in spades.

A Panasonic G85 that shoots 4k video and has Dual IS only costs RM 3.5k
A 100-400mm (200-800mm in FF) PanaLeica lens only costs 6k. A PanaLeica 25mm 1.4 (50mm in FF) only costs ~RM2.5k

Panasonic and Olympus lenses are interchangeable with both brands' bodies. How are they inferior to APSC DSLR again?

Most olympus/ panasonic lenses are so much more expensive compared to the nikon/ canon equivalent. and how is a 50mm f1.4 equivalent lens "only" costs rm2.5k?

dslrs are still unbeatable in terms of lens prices and availability, especially when it comes to 3rd party lenses.

Yeah. That is the one thing i dont get m43 and why i shun it. For the smaller sensor, the lens construction would have been much smaller thus cheaper, yet their pricing almost the same or even more expensive than any other apsc and dslr lenses.

im currently using d5300 with 18-55 kit lens. video recording wise very nice already, shoots at 60fps 1080p. TS, i recommend this. just get yongnua 35mm f 2.0 lens (China brand). All for rm3k
settle d for video and photo

From someone who started off with mirrorless back in 2008!

I went from Olympus EPL3 > Canon D100 > Panasonic GX1 > Nikon D5300 > Sony A600 > Olympus EP5..

let me tell you the mistakes i make:
1) selling off my EPL3 is a mistake it doesn't differ much to D100
2) buying D100 with 40mm f2.8 is a mistake should have just get a better prime for EPL3.
3) Selling off my GX1 with 25mm f1.8 is the biggest mistake! that's the best range i like, the picture appear to be crisp and clear. color rendered isn't too bad too for the old body.
4) moving to nikon with 35mm f1.8 G.. nothing to complain about but sold it after my trip cause it's heavy. could have lugged around with it for a little longer.
5) Sony A6000 with 50mm f1.8 and sigma 30mm f2.8 that's another great setup! if it wasn't because of a deal for EP5 i would not have sell the whole system. Should i keep longer? maybe i should but Sony's price went up earlier and i sold them for a small fraction of lost biggrin.gif

if you think the D5300 then the canon will produce better quality. in fact the EP5 may produce better result as well. yongnua 35mm f2.0 won't it be too noisy for your videos? to top off the bookeh of the 35mm is a little soft and the bookeh balls aren't good as well.

a6000? definitely better haha.. but d5300 and ep5, ill choose d5300 because of 1080p @ 60fps because of the video i shoot requires 60fps, and ep5 only at 30fps
