Buy from Harvey Norman if you buy branded like Acer. They have free 3 years warranty.

planning to buy a Compaq notebook next week.. but the website didnt state the price. anyone know the price for Compaq Presario V1011AP (DY212P)?
other model also can..but the spec must be as below:

That model now superceded by V1104 at RM4599 at any shop. Plonk a little more to upgrade the RAM.
There's also an equavalent model HP Nx5000 at 4999 which is essentially the same build but better battery and Dothan processor..I think ..pls check with the dealer., otherwise call HP at their toll free line.

Is Asus good? My friends recommend to me this brand because it is cheaper compared to Fujitsu, Toshiba, etc. What about PDA? What brand is good and can get around RM800-1000?

best word to describe notebook is
"GOOD THING NO CHEAP, CHEAP THING NO GOOD...."
actually not no good la, is not tat good la.. as far as i know now in notebook, Fujitsu and Toshiba is the best among the laptop i know. IBM is wellknown in its reliability, but the design is like a "stone". Dell for its sevices.

Well, its all depend on ur budget too.... good luck to tose who r goin to buy laptop

Guys, sorry if it has been discussed about this before, but i have some decisions to make..

HP Compaq Presario P2239A (Intel Celeron M 1.3Ghz) RM3799
Acer TravelMate 292EXCi (Celeron M 1.3GHz) RM3788
FTEC IQCool 8081 (Centrino M 1.5GHz) RM3999

Seems like FTEC offering the best performance under budget of RM4k.. Anyone has used any model of laptop above before? Any recommendations for below RM4k laptops? Hope to hear from you guys soon.. wink.gif thanks!

Try Techdos Centrino 1.5GHz, 256MB, 40GB, Combo Drive, 15.1" TFT, 3 in 1 Card Reader. Media Player without on the notebook for RM 3,788.00

hello all =)
im thinking of looking for a laptop..but there are so many choices..
i basicly want a gaming laptop
processing power 2GHz++(better if higher)
has to have good graphics (ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 or better preferebly 128MB)
good sound
60GB++ HDD
802.11b/g support
15" monitor ( 17" is cool too =)
DVD writer drive

my budget would be around 7k-9k

i was looking at the dell inspiron 9100 but it doesnt seem to be available on the dell malaysian website yet..not sure how much that will cost..
the ECS G900 also appeals to me cauz it has a 17" screen and ati mobility 9700 but i heard that ECS isnt really a good brand..
the asus W1000N is cool but over budget..
just need some suggestions =)
